What Perplex City Has Taught You It's not just a game, it's learning funtime! I got to thinking that besides being a damn nifty game, and one of the most creative things I've seen in a long time, Perplex City has actually taught me some things I didn't know. Well, at least forced me to research subjects I had never looked at before. Here's a short list of what I learned (hopefully this doesn't spoil anything):
* How to be more efficient in sifting through Google results
* Basic celestial navigation
* That there are movement notation systems
* Codes and ciphers that I had never heard of
* What Semacode is
* That there are lots of really cool websites and programs out there for everything from satellite locations to diffraction simulations
* That you can encode/hide information in just about anything.
And the most important: It is really amazing what can be accomplished by a diverse group of people distributed all over the world.
So, I'm curious what other people have picked up from playing PXC? Anyone, anyone?

I learned Mixolydian and all of its friends.
That was like my only big solve here, and it was the greatest thrill ever!!!

Might I refer you to What have you learned from Perplex City? , from way back in September 06? I'm not sure I have anything to add to my original learnings.

I learned to always pick up the priceless treasure if you hear footsteps approaching from the previous room.

Well, there are some odd dialect words in the UK, but I think on the whole it's you Americans who insist on having funny names for things

I learned that after following/participating/playing/solving/enjoying PXC for over a year, NOT to lose track of it a few months before the end and miss out on helping, or even trying myself, to find the Cube!!
Ill have to make sure that doesn't happen second time around

My sentiments exactly!! I, too, am going to try to keep track of Season 2 - instead of drifting off a month before someone pops up with the Final Answer.
