Time Zone of Java or Map Location Okay will this puzzle start at the time zone for the Island of Java or will it start according to the map location on the Hunt screen.
Java is a ways to the east of where the map put the circle.
It states 2200 so maybe it'll be 10:00 edt again.

Maybe another map fold deal???
Seems like we were on the edge of a shoreline when we first arrived. Maybe we will go ashore after we get wet getting off the boat.
Splash ,,, what have we here a gold dabloon... nope, just a rock....

I got extras when I went to the Volvo dealership in case we had to do lots of folding.

I second that, I think it's going to be another map fold. The times the puzzles are opening really stink for people in the midst of the work day. I hope the scheduling starts changing soon...

Something I have not yet figured out.......and sorry for hijacking this thread.
But how does Volvo keep track if the winner has solved the previous puzzles?
I mean, someone can have skipped the previous 19-20 puzzles and then answer the last one correctly - Voila!?!
Or?
From what I have seen there is no logging involved of what answers have been answered and not.
Someone?
Cheers!

For the timezone stuff... 'Ere ya go:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/
and more specifically:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=108
Looks humid.
And as far as Volvo knowing who has played what and for how long the answer is obvious- they have people in your home watching you. Or have you not noticed the giant Swede in the corner with a shade on his head posing as a lamp?

Funny guy, but seriously. I often change computers, either its on a internet cafe, home or at the office.
So how is it possible then to be able to track?
Since I have not yet found a way to be "logged in" to the site - or have you?
As for the big swede, I send him to Valhalla.
Seems that prometheusdigital is down << suspended probabably by the big swede?

if I was to hazzard a serious guess I would say that Volvo has it set to where you register early and then they could care less if you cheat online as I doubt there will be too many spoilers posted as things get closer to the end.
I dont expect that, even if I were allowed to win, I have the
smarts
intelligence
brains
snowballs chance
uh, time as someone will more than likely figure it out before me and I doubt they'll post that answer just to leave the trasure sunk without going for it.
If someone hasnt figured the previous puzzles I doubt they'll get the later ones and then there is the question as to wether each puzzle lends to a larger theme which is probably freakin impossible to figure out.
Of course Degravity will get it in a minute-thirty.
I'll be wanting my T-shirt, Degravity!

Tracking LummiSan,
gridwerk is pretty close I can say that there are using 3 cookies per site. Cookies are generally used for tracking purposes. It is also possible to use a form submission, similar to a form you'd fill your name into, etc. Only this form would be hidden and collect a piece of data such as your IP address. This then moves into the realm of sessions, which delves even deeper. You're familiar with sessions as sites automatically log you out after a certain amount of idle time, as well as killing any open data connections.
I mentioned in a previous thread that they also have a log file(s) on their server(s), which stamps the date, time and IP address of every hit on their site. Honestly, I don't think they're utilizing much of this for tracking puzzle solves though. Tracking that, is as simple as collecting your personal info when you register and the fact that the final puzzles will have a form to fill when you solve the puzzle.
Hope that helps...

While folding the map seems likely, I don't think it is the answer.

EDIT: NADA...ok, so where is that map with the icebergs? Sab, do you have pic of map that we scratched icebergs?
NOTE: destination is 4 digits on each side
