a) Drive the 5 hr round trip to Bolton, then frantically organise places to stay this weekend.

b) Put the tickets up for Unfiction / Perplexorum people.

c) Contact my non-ARG friends in the area to see if they want to go.

Hmmmmm - having also read kk's letter, what kind of ID will they require? Did you have to give a name when you picked up the tickets?

Worried...

Yeah, they ask for a name when you get the tickets, its so that you can't ebay them.

I'm doing the whole 'five hour round trip' thing. Haha, revision, what revision?

I hope they post the details of the drop soon; I have to leave by four o'clock to get to Bolton for seven!

You did have to give a name and this had to be the name that was on the e-mail that you sent Cyrus (I had trouble picking up DragonLord's due to an anagram Smile ) if you want to give the tickets to someone else then you have to contact them and let them know (there's a number on the letter). ID has to be photo ID or something with address (utility bill, passport, driving license etc. I reckon). In general they're being quite harsh about people flogging tickets on e-bay (it is a free concert after all).

I'm not going to be able to make it to Southport I'm afraid - sorry Sad

I think you could actually sell them on ebay... you'd just have to change the name on your tickets to that of the ebay winner...... but that would be wrong....

Just a note, for those picking tickets up for other people, like Mikey said, you need to know their name / email or whatever. If they used a different name / nickname / anagram perhaps then you'll definatly need that! And after you have picked them up, the original winner needs to email or phone to get the name on the guest list changed.

I'm a bit worried, as the only I.d I have is a passport... I don't generally like carrying it round with me....

So, if I haven't told Cyrus my name, only my email, that's what I'll be confirming with, yes? And do I need to give a name tonight?

Oh... I'm really nervous about this, actually! Never done anything like this before. Confused

Oh... so I'll need to contact them to get the name changed seen as though I'm letting someone else pick up and have my tickets Confused And I'll need to tell them my name so they can get the tickets.

And I haven't given a name either Sarah.

I'm leaning more towards the round trip at the moment, mainly as my wife now wants to go and see some bands Smile Just wish they would hurry up and send further details. Glad to see I'm not the only loony one!

Sarah B - where are you traveling from? I'd leave work at 4pm too. We could exchange travel & parking advice! I'll be going up the M6 from around Tamworth. Wish I had a sat nav!

As for the weekend itself - anyone have recomendations on where to stay? I would probably just call the tourist office tomorrow morning but just wondering...

All I had to confirm was my password. My Name was written on the envelope he gave me, which was the name which appears on my email address title. They took all those names as your name.

I've been trying to find somewhere, Preston itself is fully booked so you may have to look further afield and find somewhere with a station Sad I think it means I might not be able to make Sunday.

Me too. I requested infomation quickly as I had a significant journey!

Anyone know Bolton at all? How many others going tonight? Care to exchange mobiles via PM, we should meet up before.

Edit: And now an email!

You were one of the first to succeed in today's challenge. That earns you the right to collect a pair of Big Weekend tickets.

You - or somebody you trust - need to be on the steps of Bolton Town Hall on Wednesday May 16th between 7pm and 7.30pm. There you will find your contact - a man wearing dark glasses. You must tell him a password.

This password is unique to you. It will only work once. Keep it to yourself or pass it onto one trusted accomplice in your stead. Do not pass it on for other people to re-use - they will not get tickets.

Your contact does not like to be crowded. If you see him talking to someone else, do not approach him. Wait until he is alone. Say only your password - do not engage him in conversation.

If you are under 16, make sure you are accompanied by an adult guardian. I will not be held responsible for your safety.

Your password is:

Good luck.
