Just a thought, maybe it is something that the final numbers of each grave contain 1-8

For completeness, the text reads:

Forbidden seas
With forgotten land
With forgotten men

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The pairs are 6-61, 4-28, 3-37, 9-54

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The answer requires 8 digits.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Notice the right side of the pairs (61, 28, 37, 54) contain the numbers 1-8 exactly once each.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Use the numbers on the right side as position indexes for the number on the left side.

If you just want the final answer, see the Antarctica thread for the address.

Here is solve:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Here's how it goes:
160(6) - 16(6)(1)
160(4) - 16(2)(8 )
160(3) - 16(3)(7)
160(9) - 16(5)(4)

Notice how the RIGHT side numbers are unique from 1-8?
Just follow:
1 - 6
2 - 4
3 - 3
4 - 9
5 - 9
6 - 6
7 - 3
8 - 4

So the 6th position and the 1st position each have a 6--the 2nd and the 8th position have a 4--etc.

Solution:
6439S 9634E

The left side numbers give you the 4 digits to work with, the right side numbers give you the place they go. there are 8 number places for the coordinates places - the 6 goes in both the 6th and the 1st place (61) and so on with the rest of them.

Um where did 160 come from? I had 158...What I did is below.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

6-61, 4-28, 3-37, 9-54
55 + 24 + 34 + 45 (subtracted and changed negative to positive)
=158

there was no math involved, just putting the number in the correct place

Code:
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

6-61
4-28
3-37
9-54

6 goes in spot 6 and spot 1, 4 goes in spot 2 and spot 8, and so on

Oh ok, that's what I thought it was and then someone did some math and messed me up.
