And don't you know what the sort of the answer is? Is it an 8-number sequence too? (well, actually it should be as I can get the puzzle Smile )

From the images, I predict a coordinate answer of 5513N 1511E. Which is actually a water location in fairly shallow waters, between some Danish islands off the coast of sweden.

Well if IT IS COORDINATES, I've managed to find this:

5473N 1511E

It seems we were moving in the same direction with Nusa, solving this puzzle... Very Happy

but why did you get 5513N 1511E Confused

did you go through "subtraction of opposites thing?"

PS: Oh! I've just understood - seems like you transformed 73 minutes into 1 degree 13 minutes - right? Smile

well maybe... maybe... but I don't actually thing that the answer is some coordinates... I think it's just a lock-code for the chest

Just wondering - don't the Chinese write from RIGHT to LEFT? When we interpret these Chinese symbols, shouldn't we go counterclockwise?

Well I find it strange... The solving we used with Nusa was too easy... or we were wrong but I don't see any other way... Embarassed

Unless we have to use map somehow....

Okay it is posted here: http://www.prometheusdigital.com/potc3/

They are now saying the puzzle will be on Tuesday. This puzzle is just for the finalist again.

It would be funny if they got it all wrong again.

The Answer

On Prometheus site they are posting the answer to puzzle #22 as 5743N 1151E which is Volvo Gothenburg.

If that answer seems familiar you need to check out the sentinel puzzle page because that answer was given for the mini-hunt.

You can check out the prometheus site at: http://prometheusdigital.com/potc3/?p=201

So me and Nusa (and a lot of people I think Wink ) were right, but the catch was in reading not "from left to right, from up to down", but "from up to down and then from left to right"...

well If I had just one attempt I would'n ever try this way Very Happy

Are you smarter than a fith grader...lol?

Well as 22 finalist could not answer the finals... I ask my 5th graders what they thought the answer was.
they came up with
3222 1321 Kathlyn add the 4 symbols
4845 5665 Mercedes took first two symbols
4667 5779 Evelyn went up down up down
Angel 8758 4445 picked first number
8919 3195 Alexis didn't tell me her strategy
3223 1321 Alex add the 4 numbers to get the two numbers you need

so there it is ...
