I reckon no - one would have even thought of it unless you had pointed out it was a level password tbh.......

Sorry about the change guys, but there was an error in the old f48 that really wasn't fixable, so I had to change it.

Anyway, hints hints hints:

1.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One of the most famous quotes from this work.

2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Although apples are thought of as fruits, they are actually a member of anothe family.

Let's see if these help...

We're still stuck. I've been though the quote and tried everything that makes any sense unless I'm on the completely wrong track.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Romeo and Juliet Act 2 sc 2

Correct me if I'm wrong.

another hint please?
Re 48 - but are we still presuming it's related to Shakespeare?

Would I be right if I were thinking along the lines of 'The Rose Theatre', or should we still be looking back at an actual quote?

there was another clue ... SHAKESPEARE BELIEVES THIS IS MORE OF A NOBLE FAMILY.....or something like that ....then there was another hint ....Never was there a tale of more woe than this play so that how we got shakespeare, but appparently there was an error so now he changed it.
Ation - perhaps you should make more of a reference to the plays writer for newbies who havent seen the old clues...?

RE: 48

these are the only shakespeare quotes with "rose"
But earthlier happy is the rose distill'd
Than that which withering on the virgin thorn
Grows, lives, and dies in single blessedness.

He wears the rose
Of youth upon him.

I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows
Quite overcanopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine.

The seasons alter: hoary-headed frosts
Fall in the fresh lap of the crimson rose.

Their lips were four red roses on a stalk.

Then will I raise aloft the milk-white rose.
For whose sweet smell the air shall be perfumed.

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet
therefore the answer must now be on this page, right?!

I thought that we were looking for quotes about the word
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
sweet since that is what a rose smells like. Also, the clue about the tale of woe comes directly from Romeo and Juliet

Not that I have had any luck with any of this.

I understand that, but if I was doing the puzzle independantly and had only just solved 47, I would be arriving at 48 with no clue as to the shakespeare direction...
