CIS actually is a degree, Computing and Information Sciences (CIS), which I and many on this board have. I believe we all know what CSI stands for. CIS/MIS/IT are all acronyms for Nerd (smile)...

On a different note. This is supposed to be an "american" company, right? Is there any relevence to the fact that their security cameras are run from a server in Amsterdam? Maybe there's more drugs involved than just the prescription kind!

I guess it's possible to already know the final answers, b/c I think, way back before the game started (see early posts in this forum), the uF gang had accessed all of the videos and saw the end. Altho' I think that realgamehead could use a lesson or two in manners, it's possible s/he knows the answers. And I was ROFL when s/he called us "arrogant CIS-heads" -- I must be a total loser, b/c I don't even know what that is!

Well, he couldn't know it without "cheating" by his own definition. He couldn't know who or where, or anything else in the future because he wouldn't know the puzzles. He's just trying to be arrogant and proud.

CIS stands for Criminal Investigation Services.

Actually it's CSI which means Crime Scene Investigator, he needs to get it right, LOL!

Dumb comment either way... lol

Forum is off track!

Ok, granted I am new to this forum but even a Newbie such as I can see that compared to the other forums this place is a mess! Multiple postings regarding facts that have already been stipulated, general & excessive chatting that is not on topic. I'm beginning to wonder if possibly some of the people are plants on here just to divert our attention. . . anyway, I'm going back to LND where I don't have to deal with all this. . .

Interview wth a Puppetmaster --

The Tech Conference Show - a podcast dated March 17, 07. Interview with Ian Schaffer, CEO of Deep Focus, the marketing strategy firm who is running the 'SaveMyHusband' campaign.

Schaffer discusses a previous recent Court TV billboard campaign for Court TV.

(excerpts)
"We underestimate consumers occasionally. We participated in a campaign in which they took out billboards with an open letter from a wife to her cheating husband. They created a blog that people discovered on their own. There was no URL on the billboard but it was discovered and passed around. Three million people discovered it in 3 days and we had planned for it to unfold over 10 days. It was tremendously successful but it happened so fast. This thing got found out much faster than we anticipated. "The biggest lesson we learned was to never underestimate the power or wisdom of crowds."

Here's the link to the entire podcast. The interview with Schaffer begins at about 13 minutes into the podcast.

Sports Page - San Roberto

Quote:
On the sports page in voice daily news there is a colomn on the right with what seems to be scoreboards for upcoming games. I ran the city names...springfield, columbus, pleasantville, san roberto through mapquest. The first three cities can all be found in ohio but the third city, san roberto does not even exist.

Okay, it may be nothing, but according to the Google Gods, a company named San Roberto manufactures passenger buses and big truck bodies. Maybe this could account for the metal sounds and the looks of some type of storage container in the ransom video.

Tired of reading the same ole' stuff!!! Should not take an hour to read through the last 12 hours of posts... yes we know what CIS, CSI and passwords have been changed ladida....

CIS-heads

Doh! Thanks tulsathumper... I was reading too much into that statement. Silly me. But I'm not one anyway, not by a long shot. I just like puzzles.

Anyhoo, at this point the only "live security feeds" I've been able to find are just stills, cycling as if they are "live" (and I last looked at them yesterday), but someone else mentioned three people going into Andrew's office. Have they changed the stills, or am I missing something? And has anyone figured out the archive date to search for yet?

Just an opinion

In the ransom vid, the thick door frames appear (to me) to be just the typical wood frames found on many older buildings, like my house. When you haven't got carpet (like my wood floors) you get an echo like as if you were in a tin building, giving us the metallic sound. Also, as in many older buildings, metal conduit is used to put in new lighting so they don't have to tear into the old walls. All this seems to fit the theater that is to be renovated. But that's just a guess.

Those same first three cities are also in Nebraska.

There is no pleasantville in Nebraska...rather pleasant valley

Pleasantville in unincorperated, and has a pop. less than 20. It won't be on most maps. It's southwest of Bassett, NE.

Also towns in NJ
Considering that all times are in EST, and the fact that a couple of people have had theories that the location is in the Northeast, I think New Jersey is a pretty good bet.
