Couldn't help myself

Screen had the number 871 before I signed up.

My key is: Rich Professionals from Guam

And the clue at the page bottom is the same as earlier.

on the source code it says "this is not a hit counter" so I'd bet it is a registration counter

Re: [TRAIL/PUZZLE] Choose Your Revolution
It's a simple puzzle, might be a trail for a bigger game

It gives clues when you sign up. I got "Homeless Asian Women".

Just to clarify...
Was it as you state, above, or was it possibly more like "Homeless Women from Asia"?

Not that it will be a big issue.
These are probably just what they say: Unique "keys" generated pseudo-randomly from a three element array.

The counter at the top?

There was a counter behind the the word "choose" in the header...anybody got a clue counting what? It was on 18, 417,650 when I tried to register.

Edit: Sorry, the counter is not behind the word choose. The page didn't load properly in firefox. Tried it in ie, it loaded and gave my key:

Middle-Class Executives from Connecticut

the link at the bottom of the 2nd column won't work in either browser

key

My unique key is
Quote:
Your Key: Buddhist High School Students from Pitcairn Islands

I didn't see any clue at the bottom of the page, but maybe I am not looking in the right place.

error code

In IE, when I click the link at the end of the 2nd col, I get Error on page. Here is the error:

Line: 235
Char: 2
Error: 'null" is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://chooseyourrevolution/

I'm not a computer guru so I really don't know if this means anything or if whoever built the page or link just got sloppy. Somebody help...

EDIT: The registration area loaded at the same time as the main page. I don't think that's supposed to happen. You're supposed to read the body of the main page, then click the link at the bottom to get the registration area. Because mine loaded together, it threw the error code. Page doesn't seem to be acting totally right in either browser, but IE seems better, sans the "Iowa" clue(?) at bottom

Are they coincidences?

Just noticed the ad for "The 13th Labour" website in the announcements box...could this puzzle have anything to do with that card in Perplex City? Guess the "13" reference could be just coincidental but when you go to site and click on answer, it says:

"Sorry, your key could not be authenticated at this time."

Please keep trying!!!

We have our "unique keys" here...
2 coincidences in the same site?????

Hindu College Students from Sudan

My Key is :Hindu College Students from Sudan

My clue was at the bottom, and is as follows:

wfzetg ih tpugimihw foqfz bva bggn esjsl.
yhi lszb idfwgp hkh njl uwksm crw.

It is in no rotational format. I checked. I started playing it like a substitution cipher, but it's slow going. Any guesses?

Wild, Baseless Spec
mostly comedic

Assuming the countdown up top actually is going at a rate of a number per second (and for the hour and fifteen minutes I checked b/c I didn't bother viewing the source, it is), that places the zero hour in a little over three years.

Website author talks about coming up with the idea for the manifesto three years ago. Therefore, he's Merlinning it---living life backwards. The countdown is taking us back to the birth of the manifesto.

But seriously, I really like the writing style of the blog.

(And as for Solar Wind Tripper's ciphertext, it isn't atbash either...I'll check some of the other easy ones next)

I assume you mean the ad here on this site. It is for The 13th Labour puzzle card - it's promoting the distributed effort to find the key. It's totally separate from this new thing, so yes, there are two coincidences in the same site Very Happy

I got:
Poor Women from Antarctica

Funny, I didn't think there was much of an economy there. Smile

...and my signup box loaded with the rest of the page, too.
