This isn't about a song. It's a sequence...

ok we still dont understand though.....or at least i dont! maybe you could go on to the rest of the pages/floors and put hints in it if they are all as hard to get as the rest of the clues.....lets be honest Ation, the first 10 or so levels were great, then it has gotten spectacularly hard and random! people are fed up of trying to think like you, its just not logical!!
Most people dont get the answers from the clues, if it werent for one person, then the rest of us would probably still be on level 14.

I really dont want to bitch but this is surely not "the impossible quiz"?

so lets make it slightly more possible

I agree, but at least the solution to 14 made sense, it was just a lack of knowledge that made it incredibly difficult. I also liked the solution for 27, very inventive.

But 55 made no sense, there was no indication of music, indeed it shouldn't have gone the music route after the theme was plays. The square root of 625 is 25, no BS, it's 25.

6 times 4 does NOT equal 25 (don't give a monkeys if it's a spoiler, bite me) The answer is not logical. All answers up to now have been, apart from one screw up with the Shakespeare one, but that made sense afterwards.

55 does not make sense. You were going great with the first 50 floors, it was a great little distraction, I hope this is just a blip or I'm jacking it in.

/end rant

Red, it does actually make sense. Its a very VERY tenuous link, but its there none the less.

everyone I am going yo give the answer in this spoiler, so if you don't actually want the answer and the logic behind it DO NOT MOUSE OVER THIS SPOILER!

you haff been warned.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Square of 625 = 25.
Knowing the authors penchant for all things music and lyrics related, after you have exhausted all mathematical avenues you need to start thinking along the lines of previous puzzles. when you google "lyrics twenty five" and you exhaust all the options on the first five pages (like in the year 2525 for example) you get to page 5 and get a hit for "25 or 6 to 4" since 25 is already there you just need the "6to4" and bobs your uncle you are on to 56. Also with the previous hints like "a band from windy city" windy city being chicago you can find it quickly

I'm still suspecting there must be some link with artistic professions or something... but for now I've bashed around enough braincells.

Gonna go rest and do something productive and straightforward... like I dunno... complete a uni workbook or something.

Floor 56

could this have anything to do with finding the answer? It mentions interior decorator, tattooist and the term "sequence" is mentioned a few times...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Simon the Sorcerer II it's a video game...Ation has used those before... http://www.quandaryland.com/jsp/dispArticle.jsp?index=141

I've made no heads or tails of it though...

Some thoughts:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you go the Sam and Max route (which I think it might be), then you look at the character Sybil Pandemik. Her voice is by Amy Provenzano, who did the voice in English of the tv show "Saishû heiki kanojo", known in English as Saikano: The Last Love Song on This Little Planet. She also did other things:

http://poll.imdb.com/name/nm1754297/filmotype

However, I can't make anything work. I've tried looking at the summaries of different Sam and Max shows, the video game(s), all of Sybil's different jobs, etc.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to work or jump out at me. Maybe it will for someone else.

I wonder if there is a spelling mistake in the url of the answer. Although, having said that the obvious answer is not necessarily the right one.

Could this be the case, Ation? Are we in the right direction, but unable to type in the answer, as it is incorrectly spelled?

I have thoroughly enjoyed your puzzle, but think you are making clues entirely too vaque for the higher numbered floors to be solved logically. Please give us YET ANOTHER hint, or point us in the right direction, so that we can solve this bloody clue and proceed onto floor 57.

You have people jumping out of the Skyscraper- when this should be challenging, yet possible to do. Mad

No, it's not easier and to be quite honest, everyone is getting fed up Sad It's all very well saying 'google' will help, but it doesn't help when you get a million and one different things that it could be. This puzzle in the beginning was pretty good, some harder to solve than others, but your last few questions have been (sorry) stupid!!!! If the rest of the puzzle is going to end up like this, then no one is going to continue trying to solve it, because 1. people don't have time, 2. it's driving people up the wall, and 3. well I can think of a 3rd one, but I'd have to wash my mouth out with soap.

So... what's it going to be? you going to stop doing such silly questions and get back to how the puzzle first started??

</bigrant>
