Atomic Numbers, etc

OK, gang, the atomic numbers can work two ways:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A+(P=15)+(P=15)+LE+(B=5)+E+(Es=99)=134
OR
A+(P=15)+(P=15)+LE+(Be=4)+E+(S=16)=50

Reviewing the ransom video...

YOu do know that's a man up close to the camera on the right side? YOu can't possibly know how tall the room is or how far Goodis is from the wall

OMG this is like the second post regarding this -- let me clear this up:

1) I cropped that photo on purpose to accentuate the dimensions.

2) that is the kidnapper in the video that is cropped out

3) When I said "a man his size" -- I meant Andrew - and from other photographs you can see how tall he is and use logical mathematical assumptions that when he is sitting down there should be X amount of space above him.

Finally - please note I qualified all statements with "APPEARS" - because I am just going on my own ability to measure-by-eye (which I am generally pretty insanely accurate with) and if you have a mathematical way of thinking in you, it is easy enough to assume dimensions which tend to be fairly close to reality.

But let me reiterate one more time before someone else posts another "Do you know that's a guy in the right front" message - yes I personally cropped him out and the dimensions are not written in stone - jmho

Re: COURT TV SWEEPSTAKE
ANSWER FOR DAY 4

The reason that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
15 15 5 99

is actually the correct answer is based upon the periodic table of elements: ("it's all elemental")

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A+ 15 (P) + 15 (P) +LE +5 (B) E +99 (Es) =APPLEBEEs

[edit - took out the often quoted text that did not used spoilers on the puzzle answers - kona]

Freevira

Did anyone else notice on the akarm site the product description for Freevira (the medicine that Andrew was working on) mentions that: "The common cold is now on the endangered list." and on Sonia's blog she mentions a bunch of things about endangered species of animals. Just thought that was interesting.

I would have to agree somewhat: Like I said ealier, I think the square black object is a doorway &

[SPEC]I am thinking this is actually filmed in a hallway of sorts at AKARM near the security area, just out of the camera range. (ther is always a hallway to get to and from where you are going) Or it could be a hallway near the garage area. *note it appears that the floor could be slanted in the lower portion of the frame[/SPEC]

This really doesn't look like a projection booth. The "window" is tilted:

I think that is all a matter of perception and the curve of the lens. Why would a window be tilted?

This cannot be an effect of "lens curvature". The two sides of the supposed window are different distances from the floor. The size of the "window" is not large enough for perspective to have that large an effect. It could be that the floor is sloped, but that would also argue against it being a projection booth -- try and get a projector to line up properly if the floor it's sitting on is slanted...

Ok, so maybe not lens curvature, but it does look like it could be a ramp. If you look down at the bottom middle of the frame, you can see the slope of the floor against the wall. It looks like it's leveled off a little and then goes back uphill. At least it looks that way to me.

[edit - streamlined the post since you are responding to the pictures directly above that have been reposted over and over again - just makes it easier to focus on your comment - kona]

DATE TBD
The County Zoning Board has approved an application by the investment group Stone Brand Builders for permits to build a new restaurant at the end of Main Street. Construction is slated for early fall, with the restaurant scheduled to open its doors in late winter.
