[Trailhead?] It might be back? (LYCA) I know... I know... Lyca in 'not' an ARG, but I find this a little too weird to not say anything about. Ive been following along with the sight and today the link on the 'start digging' page changed to "Have you been to 7499" with the link: www.7499.com Make what you want of this but it looks pretty peculiar.
Previously it said something along the lines of "still searching? you must be dreaming" with the link of www.dreamviews.com Once again, it might be nothing, but I thought it it might be of some importance.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
Blaine
edit: also worth a mention: both are hosted by Top Cola. and this is really more about the 7499.com

Well that 7499 site is interesting. I don't know what LYCA was or what site you were following to get this link but it looks pretty obscure to me; not that I'm an expert or anything.

Just the way its set up seems like its leading to something (the directions, where it asks if you need help) and the fact that the site is still being updated by someone is just kinda weird, I mean, why would someone go through and set something like this up for no reason?

Okay -- I hadn't heard of this before (not a Halo fan, though my brother is!), so I did a bit of research on it. Looks like everyone went nuts about a year ago thinking this was ilovebees part 2. However, it appears the owner of the site posted somewhere that it was just a design experiment, that Lyca was the name of his cat, and that the site hadn't changed for several years.
Are you sure it's just recently been updated? If so, that is very strange and interesting!
In any case -- what a weird site!

yeah, I myself am a halo fan (but I think the ties are pretty sketchy) and have been following the site for the past year (only like three changes). first it said something along the lines of contact lyca at quo dot org and when you went to quo.org it said email status at quo dot org. Then it linked to some newsfeed website, then the dreamviews website and the day I posted this it changed to the 7499.com thing. The main directions on the lyca website haven't changed this whole time though.

But there is no definitve link with Halo & Lyca & this number related game.
I am not convinced it is halo related yet.
I researched Lyca about a year ago and saw that it was someones private project. I am not believing this one just yet.

What few realize is that LYCA only became popular recently, but was known to the Bungie community for over seven years. Back when the Cortana Letters were big news, they discovered LYCA. Back then even the creator said it was just for fun. If it's a Bungie-related ARG, heck, if it's an ARG at all , then they waited a long time to spring it.
