Not much help

I wish I could be more help. I signed up, but I never even saw my phrase key. I guess I had to run quickly.

Anyway, if I see anything, I'll note it here.

you're onto something

Really good catch.

The Rhodes scholarship is also offered in other countries...

I like Jeff I. for this tho. Ohio gets to subzero temperatures.
We also have his actual address: http://web.archive.org/web/20040804160612/rhodesscholar.org/press.html

He went to Williams College. We might be able to find info about W. from this.. maybe a valedictorian?

the rhodes scholarsips are only given out to a few people a year, and if we look back 3 years (2004) we should be able to find out who I. is.

If it's a scholar for the year 2004, here are the 32 people chosen:

http://edition.cnn.com/2003/EDUCATION/11/23/rhodes.list.ap/index.html

Most notable based on the initial I:

Jeffrey Ishizuka, Worthington, Ohio, Williams College.
Daniel I. Helmer, Colts Neck, New Jersey, U.S. Military Academy.

Hi there guys, I'm not sure I can add much, but I just wanted to say, since this seemed odd to me.

All your keys seem to be x people from x or whatever, but what I got was~

Kyrgyzstan

Just thought it might be worth mentioning.

That means "land of the 40 tribes".

Anyone count the different number of possibilities in each category we've been seeing?

My key is Native American Men from Indiana. I'm not going to create a blog, so go ahead and find some use for it. Wink

What's bothering me is the bit at the bottom about the web pioneer, specifically, the "Fu**", which seems odd. I thought it might not be the obvious swearword, but in fact him addressing the person by name, with the first two letters of one of their names being "Fu". I thought maybe Thomas Fuchs, Ajax pioneer, and thus the Fu** is a pun of sorts. ***** could be Fuchs, and **** could be Thom.

He fulfills the whole "internet application everyone uses" and seems to be the sort of person who'd be able to create "a website unlike other websites, powered by a technology unlike other technologies.", but from what I can tell, he lives in Austria, so unless the writer of the manifesto is heavy on the poetic license or is based in Austria, it's unlikely in that respect.

My other thought was that the person's initials are CK, as Fu** is censored, but I don't really have any leads there.

notgordian, I don't suppose you posted your key on another forum (idolforums.com) did you? That's the only duplicated one I've found so far.

I've got a collection of 62 keys (assuming that notgordian's one has been duplicated and issued to another person as well) from here and around the web.

There are 50 different locations (the last part of the key) - giving us 1 planet (unless Venus is a town somewhere), 2 continents (Asia & Antarctica), 32 countries (though one key gives 2 countries), 14 US states, and 1 that could be either a country or a state (Georgia).

We have 26 different variables for the first part of the key - 8 which I would consider religious, 6 ethinicities, 4 directly refer to financial status (5 if you count homeless), 3 classes, 1 age, and a few that I can't work out how to classify them (random, strong, and somber).

I'm not even sure I've divded these up correctly, as there are a few which could conceivably have 4 elements (i.e. White Young Adults from Oklahoma or Rich Black Men from Venus - I've divided these up as white / young adults / oklahoma or rich / black men / venus).

Working on that basis, there are 17 different middle elements, which seem to refer to either age, occupation or gender, with the exception of one which refers to Indians.

Overall, there are general patterns, and where there are anomalies it is usually because of one I picked up from another forum. I did notice that they have been posted on some odd places, and the poster is usually a new member when they post their key.

Oh and Agent Pink, how did you do your calculations?

Some info on the republic....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyrgyzstan

A pretty unknown country, I'm meaning it's not talked about on the news or anything....So maybe we've found what we were supposed to... someone make a blog post please. I'd like to know if we're on the right track.

Inputting Venus into Google Earth gave me a list of about 10 "Did You Mean?" options. And that's just in the US. I just tried checking on Google Maps UK, and it asked me about loads of places in Holland instead. So yeah, Venus could well be a place on Earth (and not the planet), but it's damned specific narrowing things down to a particular town - even thought there doesn't seem to be anything saying which town. We've got a choice - hellishly specific if it's a town, or astonishingly vague if it's the planet. I dunno Dunno - it's seemingly a pattern breaker either way.

Of course, it all depends on whether those keys I found on other forums are reliable, or have been posted to mislead us for some reason. As I said, usually on the other forums the poster appears to have registered solely for the purpose of posting a key. The forums used include ones about paintballing, Macs, what I assume to be American Idol or something, Yahoo Answers, and various other disparate sites. Google also pulled up a couple where you have to register to read posts, including a parenting one and a student forum. They could be legitimate (some or all of them) but it struck me as a bit weird. I'm aware that the thing kicked off here with an anonymous post, so it could just have been a way of getting the thing under way, but it's a bizarre selection of forums.

I only posted this to UnFiction, myf. Although I like reality tv, I've never been to that forum. So apparently I'm just not cool enough to be unique Crying or Very sad

EDIT - chopped the mega huge long number into smaller pieces to stop it breaking stuff. Would have done it before, but I have a Firefox extension that automatically wraps stuff, so didn't know it needed sorting. Sorry! - myf

Gah! My eyes! Someone split that number into bitesize chunks!

CYR, if that's really "the next code", where did you find it?

EDIT: Well, his code works.

einstein

Question

went to the Einstein page. noticed that some of the comparisons for stuff and energy correlate to the keys that are being given. (New York and Tunisia).

I've tried to find something else out.

WHERE DID THAT CODE COME FROM?!?

Don't know who CYR is (I suspect it's the PM though), but that code - at least I think it's the same code - was posted as a comment on my blog in response to my "why the keys are important" post.
