Re: Suzuki & numbers & Stuff

I have a feeling that Suzuki would not have wanted one of its vehicles used in a kidnapping, even a fake one. Bad PR.

My next question is HOW MANY people won? It ought to be interesting to see how many got it right (and even more would be how many got it wrong!)

Any possibility this forum will hang around for the 2 weeks til we find out?

I think Sonia took off after she witnessed the killings and is still driving... and driving... and driving... (Maybe she'll come back after she hears Grant was arrested...)

And what will happen to Bea Rosy and all the other wonderful people like Robert Johnson at Akarm?!

I agree with you about using a Suzuki in a kidnapping... Laughing

Well, even though it is up for dispute what the right answers should have been, we predicted what Deep Focus WANTED them to be. Why they would change the fingerprints on the last day back and forth between Robert Johnson and Grant Tenbrook is beyond me but it clearly was a breach of the integrity of this SCAM. If anyone answered Robert Johnson and is told they are not getting their $.05 gift certificate, PLEASE LET US KNOW. This is actionable and we WILL get you your prize!

So, HOW MANY PEOPLE WON? Well, a lot of people just came here for the final answers (thus this site didn't work and crawled to a halt) and entered in Grant and 8 N. Cherry St. Others just hedged their bets and got friends/family or just sent in multiple submissions themselves so THEY COULDN'T LOSE! ANYONE WHO WANTED TO WIN COULD EASILY.

Is Sonia off driving in a Suzuki? What happened to Bea and RJ? Whatever you want. The inept people over at Deep Focus never figured out what happened to their little game. They didn't figure out who did it or where Andrew was being held. First it was Grant then it was Robert Johnson, then it was Grant again... First it was Grey Corner, then it was Curry, Perry, Cherry... Who cares!?!?!

I could go on and on. I just can't believe I DEFENDED the morons at DEEP FOCUS and assumed they were making all of their mistakes on purpose. Sure they threw a lot of people off and sent us on "wild goose chases" and "rabbit trails." However, most of us realized that they weren't that brilliant. They also had to keep the solutions solvable by the average person, not computer techs. We know they intended from the beginning on having thousands of winners because they limited the answers (like I said, EVERYONE could win but just submitting multiple answers or just checking a website), they made it extremely easy, and they let it continue, even though it was ruined from the beginning! Not just because we knew the answers before the game even started, but because THEY ruined it by not know what they were doing. I'm surprised they didn't stop the contest but I guess DF hid everything well from the public and no one knows about this site so these things didn't get any publicity. That's too bad because DF needs to stick to marketing (or whatever they do well) and give up even trying to pull off something like this again.

A sequel? I sure hope NOT! Where's Sonia? WHO CARES!

cassdm - Sorry for the rant but I have to get this off my chest. I'm not going off on you, only the company behind this waste.

Just a little note to say thank you all of you, even though I didn't participate too much I had a good laugh with your posts. Also, I think they will come out with something like "save my assistant" for Sonia, don't y'all think?

So we can shorten it to Save My Ass? Because that's what they're all praying for.

Actually it should probably be titled 'Save Your Husband From Sonia' since she's such a MMM (Married Man Magnet) Wink

LOL! Too true. But I had a great time on the forum and learned a thing or two (such as steganography... we were definitely thinking too hard about this thing all along)... thanks to eeek and all!

New addition

This is on the SMH site now.

"Due to a technical error, the fingerprint application was temporarily associating Robert Johnson with Grant Tenbrook's prints incorrectly. For this reason, Robert Johnson will also be considered an acceptable answer."

 Suzuki

I think i've figured out suzuki's sponsorship role - they're providing the prize! A new Suzuki XL7 runs between $23,599 and $25,199!

If we have to split this between all the winners, I call the stereo. You guys can decide who gets the cup holders.

Great, I'll get stuck with the "New Car Smell".

Sticky note on site now

My first ( and probably last) post, so please forgive mistakes.

I gave Grant and Cherry St. answers and this morning there is a "sticky note" on Christina's board thanking me for finding Andrew or someithing similar. Maybe means those answers are correct.

Although I have been lurking, I read every page from page 1 of the first part of this topic, I have tried to post with no success. So much for my computer skills!

If this one can be read, I would like to thank you all for many, many giggles along the way. I truly did laugh out loud many times.

And the knowledge here is humbling. I have learned a lot.

Thanks for the help, the humor and support. I look forward to seeing you all back on UF in the near future.

Vicki

Just wondering

Did everyone get the last email from Christina this morning that said it was over? My answer yesterday was Grant and 8 N cherry st but my husband spelled out North Cherry st and he got the email but I didnt. So I am wondering are they going to count it wrong if we didnt spell out North.
Thanks, Val

I remember Christina saying that spelling did count.

PS- I spelled it out too, but did not receive that email.

re: Just wondering

I wouldn't worry about not getting the e-mail yet. I put in 8 North Cherry Street and haven't received an e-mail as of now.

Obviously the sequel will be Sonia on the run in her new Suzuki. Maybe we'll have to follow her trail, trace her whereabouts, whatever... Do we care?

If DF haven't learned a LOT from this first one and hired some real game designers and computer programmers, count ME out...

Still and all the comraderie here on UF has been a blast, and even when the site was snailing so bad I could barely read a few posts and couldn't make any of my own, it was still fun to read everyone's comments.

Kudos to the admins and players here at UF!

The only good thing about the game was this board! And the Penny we'll all get sent in the mail for getting it right. I hope it's a shiny penny... This way at least I can say I won a shiny new penny out of the 2,500,000 they gave out. Will I help find Sonia? Probably. I have nothing else better to do!

While I'm sure we wont get much money if any I do know that not everyone who played put down the right answers. Some people put Sonia as the person behind the kidnapping and I'm sure not everyone put down North Cherry st. So there is hope for us that got it right.
