I won I won!
chuckle

Well, using common sense and having fun with some easy to figure puzzles kept me interested for a week - and I did provide the correct answers yesterday.

What I find worrysome is that some people here went so freaking overboard with this, and they kept looking for things that just weren't there, while all this time, the correct answers were shared right here! So for those who lost: La-Who-sa-her - You deserve it!

For all the winners: Enjoy your 10 cent off ice cream certificate! Wink

And now I like to forget about this lousy game ...

I was right

After posting what I thought yesterday and everyone seeming to go in a different direction at first I started 2nd guessing myself, but in the end my answer was correct.

Another thought about the street thing..... Even if you couldn't tell it was cherry street. You could definitly hear the STREET part. So on the Zendorel site there were only 2 listings for Street. Bibby and Cherry. So obviously it couldn't have been Bibby...so the next obvious would be Cherry.

Game was fun, but wayyyy to easy.

I was positive he was saying "Curry" on the tape, so I entered that first, later on I entered the Cherry St. address just in case.

Can't wait for my 10 cent coupon. Very Happy

Correct answer for address

On the SMH websit, they didn't say what the correct address was. Where are you getting your information that 8 North Cherry Street is the correct answer?

answer

I guess my answer was wrong because I wasn't thinking when I entered it and used Cherry Street instead of 8 North Cherry Street as they wanted an address. Anyways, there goes my two cents.

It was easy to realize that Grant was behind it all along. He had a company who's stock was falling and money was getting tight. He knew that if Freevira didn't get released, he'd have a whole world of trouble on his hands. Andrew, being the community involved scientist he is, went to Grant about Freevira's side effects. Grant did two things after that. He arranged Andrew's abduction/murder and joined up with Zelnore? or whatever that companies name is, to be able to distribute Freevira without regulation. I would've been suprised if it wasn't Grant because this game isn't like the ARG's we're used to solving. Yep, that's it. Now its time to eat the Applebee's.

I think almost everyone picked Grant for their answer. I thought the kidnapper was saying Curry st, But after scouring everywhere, i couldn't find anything in the game that had a curry st addy. After listening several times, I thought maybe he said curVy st. (although it could be i just WANTED to hear curvy st) The only thing close to that on the zendorel page was curvasand. so i chose that location, BUT for some reason, they have NOT posted what the correct addy was? Are they accepting all addys from the zendorel page?
Oh well time to do it all again for the suzuki part of the game with sonia...

I felt the same way. I played the video over and over, I never heard a ch but did hear a curvy, so I figured Grant knew all of the Zendorel Investment areas and that Curvy would be short for Curvasand...I could be wrong but isn't this game about your own investigative skills and thoughts? Laughing I wish everyone could have had as much fun with this as I did, even with all of the glitches......Good luck to all of the winners and to the losers who worked so hard on this case Worshippy I hope to see you all around the site in another adventure....... There are probably multiple reasons as to why SMH didn't provide the answer. A couple of reasons come to mind immediately.
  • According to the Official Rules , " ... Sponsor's determinations on which answers are correct are final and binding. ..." and because of all the 'changes' during the game, they haven't decided yet which answer will be correct.
  • It will keep you coming back to the SMH Site in hopes they will post the answer and DF gets paid by the sponsor for every hit on the SMH Site.

8 North Cherry Street

***This is just to clear things up for those who still seemed confused.***

These are the 6 Holding addresses listed on the Zendorel Site.

1. 6 Wilmore -- 6-12 Wilmore Avenue
2. Downtown Docks -- 34 Curvasand Highway
3. Tetra Dock -- 3334 Nicolai Ave.
4. Yancy Block -- 23 Dloc Drive
5. Cherry Street -- 8 North Cherry Street
6. Grey Corner -- 23-RR Bibby St.

first of all, lets look at it logically. the final video told us that the zendorel website held the address (listed above) to find Andrew. And since we all clearly heard street, that leaves us with two options, 23-RR Bibby Street or 8 North Cherry Street. So for those who put or think it's curvasand or anything else is prolly wrong.

a lot of people seemed to be confused about the address but the answer IS 8 North Cherry Street. See when the kidnapper said "***** Street" he was refering to the name of the PLACE not the street. For example, In the original form of that video (the one that was found before the game was even started and be4 it was dubbed), he said "Grey Corner" and not the address-Bibby st. Just like if the answer were Yancy Block, the kidnapper would have said Yancy Block and not 23 Dloc Drive.

what makes it confusing is that in this new video the name of the place and address are the same. but we clearly hear "Street". the problem was that we assumed he was referring to the address but he was actually referring to the name of the place.

basically the only choice we have is Cherry Street beacuase it is the only PLACE with Street in its name. Cherry Street is the name of the establishment and it is located on 8 North Cherry Steet.

does that make sense, it seemed like i was just rambling Smile

Yep. I got it right. As to the people who used the 2 shots at the answer... I think your 2nd answer is the one that "counts." If I remember right, I think Christina says something like, "Your answer has been accepted. If you feel it is incorrect or you have a spelling error, you can enter the correct answer... If you are satisfied with your answer, you don't need to do anything." This lead me to believe that the second attempt overrides the first one, and narrows the winner's list.

Either way, I posted this on another thread, and I think it is valid here:

I'm guessing the game was made easy at Applebee's request. The Official Rules state:

"Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to
substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of
comparable or greater value."

Think about it... So many people 'win' that it isn't logical to print and mail 6,250 checks worth 25¢. So a substitution is made and we all get a $5 coupon to Applebee's. What this does, is that many people will lose or just not use them, meaning they don't have to honor them, and they are basically only out the few cents it costs to print all of them. But they WANT you to use them. Why? Because no one goes to a restaurant and only orders $5 worth of food, and usually don't go alone. This means that Applebee's makes a huge profit. I get a $10 meal, which costs me $5 with my coupon. My friend gets a $10 meal, and pays the whole amount. Add in drinks and appetizers, then multiply that by 6,250, and they make a bundle of money.

Now that Sonia is missing, is this going to lead into ANOTHER 8 day challenge with Suzuki, or is this the end of the fiasco? Think about that... why else keep the winners waiting for 2 weeks to know if they have won?

I got the name right too easy. What threw me was the place. To me the man clearly said Curry Street. The Cherry St. addy made since to me because it was the closest thing to Curry with a complete address that I could find but I couldn't get past the fact that when he said where Grant was held he said the name with a hard C no matter how hard I tried I couldn't hear the ch sound.

I thought it was CURRY too -- then I thought CURVY, he did not say Cherry imho. I put in the entire cherry street address though on my first try and Curry Street on my 2nd, just in case.
I was under the impression once you answered for a second time it erased you first answer and your second answer was the one that counted??? could be wrong

That's how I understood it as well.

I also believe the actual address had to have the number in it, as Cherry St could be any number of buildings and Andrew may not have been "found in time." Using the actual street address is more than likely the only "correct" answer.

I am just hoping that everyone but me made a typo when they input their answer Smile
