Does anyone remember the glyph that was used to Mark the Traitor(cinematic beginning of Halo 2), who later becomes the Arbiter?

Checked the cinematics, it's not the same symbol.

Quick question, did anyone else have a Halo 2 update this morning when booting up? Or is that just because I haven't been on it in a while? Might be nothing, but a quick confirmation would be nice if anyone has it close.

The Image was most certainly taken from here:

"Once a scientific outpost, this derelict Forerunner facility waits patiently to be reactivated."

Have any of the original "Forerunner Email" recipients taken a look at the headers?

Nice find! Given the fact of the Glyph "appearing" in the pic from the email, it appears that this facility is no longer waiting to be reactivated. Perhaps we should see how much more we can find out about the Desolation map.

Yes, nothing special... I'll take another look and share.

I wonder what "seeds" he is referring to? The seeds of knowledge and curiosity that he has already scattered into each of us? Or something more literal? Maybe a flood invasion? Shocked

Anywho, I hope AR starts to give us something more material to investigate that just quips in forums and one picture.

Appreciated WSUPolar.

The Desolation image is exactly the same, down to the corrosion marks on the lower right edge of the wall of the imbedded image. Only noticeable difference seems to be that Desolation is allowing a lot of Sunlight into the place, giving it a Green tint, whereas the imbedded image is in darkness giving it a blue tint, signifying either nighttime, or that Desolation has "closed" up?

Didn't notice anything hidden in the source. I'm thinking the only real clue has to do with the "Look for the signs, the keepers of the flame" line.

I haven't really been following bungie.net in awhile but does this relate to the CompoundIntelligence / AdjutantReflex thing? http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/118020/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=11267799 for those with a LiveID

The NonHTML email has a different web link, but it still goes to Halo3.com... still looking at the full email.

/edit
"Suffering and corruption..." are supposed to be on the same line... this is NO line break in the page source for the email.

psygene, you need to be a "member" of the CompoundIntelligence group on the forums to access that link. It works for me just fine, it is a private forum that I'm a member of. You can join it too if you want.
