Neither did I. I'm assuming it was a randomly generated list. Unless it has something to do with IP address, account activity, reg date, or something like that, I don't see how they could pick out individual people.

Email was sent to all xbox.com flash newsletter subscribers

Look at this image:
http://www.halo3.com/images/wallpaper/downloads/h3_teaser_1600.jpg

Now look at the floor of the installation (where the light is emanating from), does it look like it could match up with the symbol in the email/visor at all?

I don't really think this has anything to do with much, but I'm curious, and yes it is a stretch.

/edit crap didn't want that to go in the "Title of the post"

I don't know that wondering about what AR is will get us very far at this stage. There HAS to be a reason for the glyph appearing on the halo3.com image...

I'm curious about what this AdjutantReflex is as well...but I don't think we're meant to know at this stage of the game.

Anybody coming up with any clues from the writing in the email?

I don't think so. Just looks like details to me.

{edit}

Is all of this information being concentrated somewhere?

So you're saying that perhaps he is the AI of the ark? He may hold more importance, or importance of a different kind than the monitors. It could be the "monitor" of the Ark, if the ark required such a thing. That makes sense.

Have we decided what time period this is in? Is it 2007 or 2552? If it's our time, the ship (end of Halo 2) has not yet reached Earth. If he is the ark's monitor, I would assume he's on the large underground portion of it in Africa. Since the ark cannot activate without it's key, it's trying to gather information on the current situation of everything. Maybe AR was only supposed to activate once the ship reached it's destination, but some event was set in motion to prematurely awaken him and he's digging to find out why.

Yeah, I'm starting to reach for clues.

I agree, but so far we haven't been given much to work with.

I was actually in the rule of three thing and i didnt get one, but i have now signed up for the newsletter so i hope they send out another round. Scatter more "seeds"

There is one thing that is weirding me out about this, doesnt the fact that Microsoft is sending this stuff out kind of negate the whole TINAG mentality?

Just so that everyone knows.

The image in the chief's visor isn't the same as the one from the email...the guys over at HBO have enhanced it and it's definitely a different glyph.

Problem is, neither one is found on the list of known forerunner glyphs:

EDIT: dv8...sorry I jumped ahead of you! Thanks for linking their post though!

Bees are yellow, honey is goldish, these could be allegorical to flames

Could the "beekeepers" be the keepers of the flame?

I know im taking a lot of leaps but you never know

Think Promethean. Coupled with the Ark. Keepers of the flame are humans, the life that lives beyond the activation of the Halo array.

Any luck with the images at Halo3.com? The glyph is on the main page image, and on the cropped image on the following page if you click through, but it is not in the same shot you can download in 720p from the media page (chiefvisor.jpg).

Emails may have been sent to those registered at Halo3.com as Halo Insiders.

A post on the HBO forum by 50401, shows that the glyph on the visor is not the same as the one found in the email.

Is there anyway for us to join CompoundIntelligence? Or is it just a group for Moderators and Admins?

AR is giving us good clues.
There is a symbol on the Master Chief's visor.
What do you do with a visor, look through it.
What is Master Chief looking at?
The ark? A forerunner artifact or installation?
I think that is where this is leading.
What is that giant mechanical glowing hole thing that spouts light in the trailer? I think that has something to do with AR and his intentions.

If you have an Xbox Live account , you should be able to simply join CI.

I had a theory up at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19547&start=255 and the next page as well.

Thoughts?
