As referenced earlier, the login box no longer appears. Unless someone was quick enough to grab a snapshot before it disappeared into the ether.

thebruce : It's likely the refreshing happened while they were updating the website. The password prompt may have occurred because of requests being made to files the server locked as they were being copied... just a web server safety mechanism, nothing intentional.

I didn't catch the login prompt, but if it was an NT style login, not a flash login, then it was the flash making http requests through the browser, which caused the login box. The login is gone now, which makes sense, since the site has been updated.


Yeah, I just read this. It seems either someone got the UN and PW VERY fast, or they just let the box slip too soon. I hope it comes back, I love logins.

 		I doubt anyone got the un/pw. We would be awash with information at this point if that were so. And, as MjolnirMkII reported, there would have been a lot of multimedia fanfare involved as well.

AR:
Who is the path of light from blackest Earth to brilliant heaven?
On whose golden wings will we fly from here to there?

My question... would this post confirm that AR is on present Earth: "from here to there?" relating back to its initial question "... blackest Earth to brilliant heaven?"

It also confirms that AR is looking for someone/thing to work with correct? "...wings will we fly from..." - and that it is trying to find a way to leave where it presently is?

That is a good possibility, but it's just as possible that he was making a vague statement for the sole purpose of someone saying Iris.

You are correct. The last activation occurred roughly 99,455 years ago. In the Halo arc, it is always hinted that it had fired 100,000 years in the past (100,000 years war), so a few were skeptical regarding AR's math when it came up 545 years short.

Make sense?

All one needs is a nice, dry towel and the calming effect of the bright yellow words..."Don't Panic".

Is it important that we know when AR is from? I was told that the AI in ILB had simply crashed planetside and that was it for explanations. The rest of the "fun" was to be had in the chase.

 		Some things that changed after the Locked Server update:

In Screenshots, the Snowbound Screenshot 2 has been blackened.

In Games, the Halo 3 - Standard Edition now has its picture, which it didn't an hour ago.

That's all I see, anything else?

I agree. I think that the silhouette is probably AR. Question is, is he a monitor or a Sentinel like on Onyx? Maybe some type of hybrid?

He wants to work with us, just like all characters in an arg. He is on earth because he is the monitor of the ark, or some other form that is similar. Whether or not he is in present day or not hasn't been answered, and won't for a while. He might have caught some interstellar wave here, or his transmissions could be bouncing off some crazy time warp.. but it's unquestionable that he is on earth, he is a monitor AI of the Ark like those seen on the Halos and he is wanting to talk to us to help solve or start something.

Good catch. But why 5 angles of perspective? #2 seems redundant as I cannot imagine a possible angle for it.

Well the golden wings would be Iris (AR's avatar/personification) and i would take the next line as a more metaphorical statement, meaning we will ride AR's wings from blackest earth to brilliant heaven to mean that AR will be the guide through the Journey we are currently on.

Obviously may have other meanings as well
