I may have something. In the poem it says "Geology named after Noah's red glow", well Garnet Hill is a fault just north of Palm Springs. It makes since with the geology line.

The biggest problem I sense coming is ....that even though we're fiddling around here trying to actually find a physical location....what do we do when we get there and how do we know we've found it. Very Happy

lol....maybe Shemark's right, we might just leave it at Garnet. It's just that it seems , with the "A Region Exists" line to be some place physical....ARGGHHH!lol

Well, even if it pans out to be nothing I enjoy doing it. And I agree with you, I can help but think the poem is supposed to lead us to a location, what to do with it I have no idea.

I was looking at Australia stuff for about an hour this morning....as well as Elba (long story about Rubidium...named of course for it's Ruby Redness...lol).

My first thought was also of Australia because of the country of condemned men. I searched so many different sites on mining, but I wasn't sure what formation to look up, but I am going to look further into Australia, even though I think this game is going to be entirely based in California.

iambemused, I believe thus far I have to agree with your line of reasoning. The first thing I thought of when reading Country of Condemned Men was Australia. The word play with Queensland is perfect.

I agree the storyline seems to just be located at this point in S. Cal. But it seems to me the Clue may be realized as Garnet sometime this week and they needed a way to get us there.

From the poem we need a mine named after "Noah's red glow" The name of the mine seems to me to be the hint...IMHO

just possible that CA & Aus are both correct...
there seems to be a lot of "mirroring" going on, like coast-to-coast, north-south, so why not 2 places above and below...kind of "as in heaven so on earth" or is that backwards?

Is there maybe a place with the same name in both CA and Oz?

Garnets aside, Oz is known for its opals.
Is Rev. Stone literally a gemstone? *L* Is his name "Jim"? *L* (gym?)

For some reason, all the "glen" stuff makes me think about Glen Canyon, which is now underwater in the aftermath of a dam project.

More likely most is just "mental garbage", so pardon my brain-dump, but its nice to get these things out into fresh air where they can die a wholesome death Embarassed
