There is such a dichotomy here within the SOTA organization. They're obviously a large organization; they were able to stage events in three large North American cities and some hovel in Britain*. However, their website reeks of 1997. How can they hope to be taken seriously when they present themselves in such a fashion?

*Just kidding. I love you guys.

I apologize, I have been loosely following the happenings since Wednesday, but I had the MCAT yesterday and am behind on everything and trying to play catch up. The sota site says something about Normal, IL. I am from Bloomington/Normal, IL. Is there anything that I can do?

Looking at the snippet from Vancouver, something caught my eye. Since I do not have the requisite skills for enhancing video and such, I did my best to capture a snapshot. Does this person look somewhat like Avery Fane? Additionally, has anyone been to www.averyfane.com? His website seems to have coincidentally gotten updated with an "English" section as well.

Addendum: Has anyone compared his IMDB resume with the Credits on his personal website? There seem to be some names missing from his IMDB resume, as compared to his website, at first glance.

Addendum 2 : His English language website has a section called "News" which has information in there. It even links to video clips of a supposed Japanese TV Show(?) he did?

Addendum 3 : I pulled a snapshot off of the Japanse TV Show(?) that he supposedly did. He does look somewhat similar to the person in Vancouver. But, my eyes are old. Thoughts?

Addendum 4 : I'm just piling on the addendums. His Myspace page also claims that he's lived/living in Vancouver.

Any role this guy has been in has been something where you really can't see him wether it's a voiceover or background, for all we know all his info could be made up Laughing

I wonder if this was how we were supposed to stumble onto Avery Fane, and again, we stumbled forward too fast. Did not notice the Youtube video poster till you pointed it out. Good one frontieruk.

Not quite. You're just slow to find out. The english section was there all the time, it's just that someone posted the link to japanese index page.

OK, just a lurker, who followed ILB, and now following this. I noticed though that in that screen grab from the Vancover march, the shot shows all the players pointing up at what seems to be a single location. Is there anybody familiar with Vancover that would know what they were pointing at in particular? Might be some type of clue to somebody that knew what they were looking at..........

Sounds about right.

Auras, perchance I did miss that English section, but others, earlier on, had begun posting Google translations of the Japanese versioned site so that we may troll it. I distinctly remember going directly to the Japanese version when I entered www.averyfane.com, but alas my memory is not what it used to be.

All I am wondering is if it is a significant development that the English version appeared.

The fact that I can't sign up for that mailing list on the SOTA site is really making me angry. Has anyone figured out an e-mail address yet?

If our hypothetical timeline for discovery is to be believed, and the PM's stick to their original plan of action, it probably goes live only sometime late today, or sometime tomorrow.

Sorry old chap.
