another thing to note on the "Aldo" sites is the mis-spelling of Germany. It is spelled as "germaniany" [sic] on most, if not all, of the pages that it's referenced. Seems a bit odd...

One more Aldo Disorbo site... I have the feeling that all of the sites contain information about a real person -- Albert Einstein, for example -- and that we can find something out by uncovering who each one is.

I spent an hour or so searching through field hockey information, though (http://www.aldo-disorbo.com) with no luck. Help me out, guys!

Dang, I didn't think that one post would lead to anything. This is seriously getting weird though. Why are there all these obviously fake and similar sites dedicated to this completely fictional guy? He's not on wikipedia, and the only results for him on google are these sites. Is this related or is this just something else going on? I'm so confused...

Edit: Have you seen the sites? There's definitely something weird going on there. However, the only link we really have to SOTA is the misspelling of Antikythera that let us find it on Google.

Double Edit: As far as I can tell, Aldo Disorbo was a dog, a sitcom star, a pop singer, Einstein, Linus Torvalds, a child who overcame autism, a physiologist, an author, an extraterrestrial theorist, an internationally famous field hockey player, a serial arsonist, a New York Times journalist, a talking car, an AI programmer, another pop singer, and a computer science professor at a women's liberal arts college(?). I mean if that's not the weirdest first 4 pages of a google search result ever, I don't know what is.

The jokes are all maintained by "Drew" on Paste Eaters, a site full of what seems to be presented as comedy. Aldo's (no relation to last year's Mary Worth character, the doomed Aldo Kelrast) career ranges from author to scientist to dog to AI, it seems. I'm not immediately seeing any common links, and with Paste Eaters dating back to 1999 (from Ohio), it seems that this might have just been an odd coincidence.

I noticed that too, but I'm still not sure why there are all these crazy sites about him. It's not like a smear campaign, it's not funny... could it be that someone just created all of these sites to drown the real information available on the scams?

I just hope this isn't a bizarre dead-end.

Maybe it could be de-stegged? Either way, I doubt this will lead anywhere.
