Re: AR+Transmission Log

First time ARG'er here, but I've been following this one since it began!

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but is it possible that the Transmission Log (http://206.16.223.65/) is actually coming from Adjutant Reflex itself? Now that he appears to be "under attack" according to his recent posts:

Quote:

My security measures are being tested. I can feel it.

By the pricking of my thumbs.

Quote:
I can retain integrity for at least 22 hours. Rerouting bandwidth to deflect assault.

Meanwhile, the transmission log reads:

Quote:
Transmission Interruption - Go Dark /negative/
Possible Intercept - System Bypass Imminent

/adjust bypass according to threat/ Fluctuating

Seems like the two may be related somehow (or even, perhaps, that the IP is somehow being adopted by AR?)

We believe the transmission log is coming from AR, since the Society claims that his Glyph is on that page.

(Do correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a first timer, too XD But I've been lurkin' ever since AR's first post)

My analysis for AR's recent posts(also on bungie forums)

Quote:
"My security measures are being tested. I can feel it.

My thought is that all these people that talk and ask stupid questions to AR is what is testing his security measures. They are asking questions that don't necessarily answer his questions, or go to far ahead of what he is saying. They aren't doing to bad as referred to the prick of his thumb and the reference to Macbeth that extents that. And with the Topic being called "Stop it", i'm assuming he's saying that we should stop doing this and only answering, or following what he is saying rather than try to get other stuff out of him. Also, when he first posted, he said
Quote:
"Array integrity questionable"
possibly meaning that the array of the forum may not be stable to set up his location. Then when he posts:

Quote:
"I can retain integrity for at least 22 hours. Rerouting bandwidth to deflect assault."

I'm thinking this means that he can only hold on to this harassment for another 22 hours and then he will change his location for posting. As i was talking on IBO(irc.bungie.org) with some people, we think that this is possible, and that there may be a hidden forum on the SOTA(Society of the Ancients) page. I mean, it makes sense. Even though we found stuff out early, things are catching up and almost on time. And if he realizes that we are getting ahead, this could mean that we need to slow down and let things happen in the set timeline. I think we need to wait until those 22 hours. Then, he will switch to that forum(if there is one) and we must find a way to access it and see what he says next. When there, he will be able to maintain integrity.

Also, with the SOTA rallies, the posts on this forum, and the ad in the flyer could just be pre-game stuff to get people involved in this ARG. I don't think it will actually start until thursday when the timer stops. I mean, we can't really do anything else until that hits zero and the switching of the forum location to SOTA would be a good location, as long as people don't spam it like this one is. Anyhow, that's my thoughts on this, may of been posted, but just wanted to get it out there.

I'm skeptical to that. I think the Razor solution to this would be that whatever is irritating him has yet to be revealed. Perhaps another AI or Covenant virus. I really doubt the posts would be what is testing his security measures.

Ya, that is true cause he is "in-game" not in real life, so that is possible what you said. But, i don't think the game actually started yet, and when someone said something early when he started posting, he said something against it, so, it is possible.

To quote my pre-teen niece "Bump that noise."

We kept the Op on her toes by doing unexpected things last time around, so don't expect many of us to back off at this point. The moment all this stops being adaptively interactive and unpredictable, suspension of disbelief goes right out the window, and our deeply immersive ARG becomes an expensive and complicated ad campaign.

Have faith in the brains behind all this... I know we threw the system a curve ball, but I also imagine they wouldn't expect anything less from us at this point. If anything, we are all more savvy now then we were two years ago, and if that wasn't a variable they had locked into their equation, then they aren't the Bungie we all know and love.

I wish people would stop quoting and referring to the Razor... it was discredited mathmatically and practically years ago. Stop kicking a dead dog already.

Be that as it may, Occam's Razor has been mentioned already in this ARG. Doesn't it make sense to at least consider it for that fact alone?

I agree with this, and am not trying to say stop what we are already doing, it's just some of(most of) thos people on the bungie forum that ask questions to AR might not be what he wants, and he wants us to stop. Yes, it is most likely something else in game that is bothering him and that he wants to stop, but it might be both as well.

Cash, it works. It really does.

I'm sorry, but the chance of stupid questions on a forum 'assaulting' a Forerunner AI are VERY unlikely.

And also, the chance of us getting ahead of an ARG are VERY unlikely. I think right now that the same thing is happening just like the beginning of almost every ARG but because this is Halo 3 ARG, predecessor to ILB, people expect something different.

There's nothing different. There's nothing else to figure out. We must now play the waiting game.

Exactly what i've been saying, play the waiting game until the 22 hours are up tomorrow, and then for wednesday. I know there will be more in between, but still wait for the next move.

Halo3.com

Just visited Halo3.com and they now have the 5 locked servers on the homepage. I have a feeling that one of them will be "un-locked" by AR when the 22 hours is up. Just speculating......

HEY!
hey

be nice

anyway that would make sense, these things need to unlock for some reason

but then again if it is going to be on this site it is very un-ARGy like, the game never really does anything directly with what it is themed, we supposedly aren't meant to know anything about the halo-verse

ilovebees didn't reveal the voice recordings on the bungie site or the halo2 site

sorta fishy i think,

and if it is, sorta disappointing

yeah i am just an <observer>, been here for ILB and a cortana letter reader, and now i actually want to provide input where i can

and now apparently part of (fill in name here)

wait what are we really calling this anyway?

-the doctor

Symbol

Ok, sorry for going backwards but I had a thought. Going back to the stonehenge thing.

The symbol lines up pretty well with stonehenge right? More specifically, It lines up well with stonehenge on the Summer Solstice (line pointing to the heel stones, which marks the point that the sun rises on the summer solstice).
At first I thought that the symbol means summer. But stonehenge is basically an agrarian calendar, right? So could this symbol represent a date? And could the one on the Halo 3 start page represent another date?

Does this make sense, or am I nuts?
