new AR post on bnet

"An older life is here with us. He is not as helpful as I. His motives are oblique and his alliances opaque.

He plays with time even as he hides in its folds.

He outranks me and anyway, is stronger.

I can't prevail.

I will seek one of you out and leave my legacy in a small space."

Damn.

I posted a few guesses that I could in the short time. I froze up and just tried what ever I could think of.

Anyone read through and see some good guesses?

A small place.

A small webpage maybe. One not accessed to many people. Or maybe something else. Maybe he will physically be encased in some form of electronic gadget and someone will have to go find him? It could possible be a Halo 3 Zune hidden somewhere.

As for the other AI coming, well, just wait for the next Bungie.net post from the new one. This guy sounds like he might actually be the Ark AI, unlike AR who seems to be something entirely different.

From the transmission log:

Well, I guess we know who that refers to now.

please note: There's now a new thread here to continue the discussion of AR's posts on b.net... let's keep this thread focused on SOTA (and I think a new thread should be made to discuss the transmission log site - x.65, separate it out)

Ok. Is there anything that could be the legacy that AR is talking about hidden in the SOTA site?

Addition:
I looked through the home page and evidence page to no avail, as the source code does not point to anything hidden in those two pages.

Is it just me, or is the countdown running down faster now? Shocked

It seems to be.
I do not know why.
I do not have the time to go through the flash code to see if it is changed. I guess we will find out what happens sooner though!

Can anyone just visually figure out how much faster it is counting down? Is it double time? If so then we only have one week left instead of two?

This puts a bind on anything dealing with the summer solstice.

Looks more like triple-time to me. Six seconds in the countdown elapsed in about two seconds by my stopwatch.

I'm trying and it seems almost like 4-5 ticks per second?
