Finally caught up after 6 hours or so of reading, so I thought I'd add to the rampant spec Surprised

AR was awoken reacting to a stimuli, probably whatever the SOTA removed/messed with, AR had a job to do, preparing his superior for a response, AR unsure of the intent of his superior,and or its identity, perhaps gaining an affinity for humanity, held out trying to warn us mere mortals of an impending threat.

Now what is the threat, I'm going along with the ark of the covenant theory here, with whatever is in Africa being an ultimate weapon, a premature or localized firing of which would be unfortunate Shocked

And who would benefit from this, someone or something reaching across time and space me thinks.

Those familiar with the Halo games and novels will note that all AI's have a personality. Even the monitors of the different Halos have a particular personality. I tend to believe that both AR and whatever has replaced him are AIs with personalities. AR referrenced Shakespearen quotes and spoke in a style similar to Old English. Perhaps this new AI has a personality modeled after something equally as familiar.

Any idea what this new AI's personality may be modeled after?
