I'm probably going to leave a post soon -- just need to decide what to say.

I wonder if we're eventually supposed to find his daughter? "You're a gem H" is the title of his most recent entry, and I imagine H is for "hon," which I imagine is short for "honey." He has a link to sunspots that he thinks are works of art that look like honey.

Poor guy... His daughter should be nicer to him! Crying or Very sad

*Mokey goes off to be all emotional and girlie for a moment before getting back to puzzling*

*Added thought: Occasus is on the O word list.

Hey dude?stumbled upon your site and dig it. better than a lot of the stuff you see on myspace and blogspot for sure.

but have you seen:

http://nomoreparents.blogspot.com/2007/02/so-some-of-you-like-four-people-who.html

i found it through your lego picture (hillarious) and wondered what you make of it.

some interesting comments. about 150 million of em but worth reading.

dj

note the subject (oat ribs = orbitas) and the blatant clues to what we've now found. I'm not sure if there's any other clues in there, or if it was just supposed to tip us off to the myspace and blogspot sites.

Hi, I just want to say that you guys are awesome with finding out these clues. I've been observing every since page one of this thread. As you can see, I'm a newbie to this ARG thing. I hope I've caught one at the beginning

Welcome Katrinasrvivr504. You from New Orleans by any chance?

Yes, we're still very close to the beginning. Just read all the posts and follow all the links in the messages, that's my advice. The site that started all this has been changed recently so you can't witness how weird all that was firsthand, but we talked about it a lot so I don't think you'll have a problem following.

I've almost forgotten about that little "story" inside the source code of the original nomoreparents page. Those kids trapped in the house, adults gone crazy or something. The chalkboard questions. We all realize both Lachlan and Hendler are somewhat estranged from their father / daughter (the orbitas angle) but where's the real connection with nomoreparents? What's the significance of the smiley face after the page was altered? Going from sad to happy, as if things were already resolved.

DJ is definitely our guide through this. He's already contacted two of us directly, leading us exactly where we need to look, almost spoonfeeding us the answers. It's like Lachlan's blog post: he was also literally saying where to find Hendler's blog by mention "blog spot" (which is arguably the first place to look for someone's blog) and "150 million" (which we had already established to be Hendler's favorite number). You see, stuff we were already aware of, we just didn't know how to fit them together.

So now we've made contact, I'd say the ball's back in their field.

Did anyone see a comment by "George" in Hendler's blog? Is that one of us? He's very eloquent and I think he wrote the perfect thing to get a reply from Hendler.

I was about to ask the same thing about George. That's not my post! Looking forward to the next step -- it looks like Hendler has been posting pretty frequently; maybe he'll update tonight? Very Happy

Greetings Katrinasrvivr504 and welcome on board. As you've been following this from day one I shouldn't imagine it will take you too long before your as embroiled in this as we all are.
Like Schrijvertje I have been trying to rationalise the mytharc that intertwines all these disparate elements. So far I assume that we are dealing with one Dr. J Hendler who seems to be proactively embarking on a series of attempts to play down certain apocalyptic reports/beliefs with regards to solar flares. He clearly regards these reports as unfounded referring to them as a "...distortion of the facts..." and noting that "...Of course they aren't correct. Solar flares are mild washes of radiation in the scheme of things." As Lachlan Murdoch seems to refer to a post he has received from Dr. Hendler with some disdain, referring to it as a post from "...you know who..." I am guessing that he too is of the opinion that solar flares are prone to wreak havoc. Though I could be wrong in all of this.

DJ it would seem to be someone who wishes us to believe that he simply stumbled into all of this. I'm guessing he has a larger role in the scheme of things.

All of this reminds me of Chris Carter's Millennium Group. One faction of the group, The Owls, believed in a secular Millennium where mankind could be guided through the potential disasters of the year 2000 and prepared for an astronomical event that was due to occur in the 2060's. Their whole eschatology was a belief that the world would end from a scientific, astronomical event.

I loved that show so much, I guess that's why I'm loving this.

As for George, Schrijvertje, he seems to share Dr. Hendler's ethos word for the word, the perception of the aesthetics and the beauty inherent in nature. It surely can't be a coincidence. Bet we hear more from him.

Its also similar to the climate change/global warming debate thats been on-going. Some believe it will bring total chaos, while others dont believe it even exists.

How very true Shellshock612!
I've just had a thought for anyone new to this. I actually downloaded (pinched) the animated gif images that originally appeared on nomoreparents.com. If anyone would like them for any reason I have uploaded them to sendspace. Sadly I seem to be missing number 8 Sad

This is jumping WAY back to the beginning, but when anyone read the infanticide link, did they think of Cronus and him consuming his young in fear of being over thrown?

Anyone any closer to understanding Lachlan Murdoch's role in the scheme of things? From what I understand, aside from him being a prodigal son, he is vivacious and impassioned with regards to media. Intensley dismissive of American newspapers believing them lacking in verve and energy, a highly eligible bachealor and considered a gentleman in its most english sense but criticised as a rich brat impetuous and foolhardy. Despite all of this I can find no reason why Dr. Hendler would send Murdoch solar flare related info. It seems incongruous with what we what know about him that he would have an interest in such matters.

I have searched far and wide and cannot find a single reference to Lachlan having any enviromental/astronmical interest. Although he did name his company Illyria which could be in reference to 1160 Illyria an asteroid discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth

Time will tell I guess

Hehe. The punctuation freak in me is glad to see that Hendler has updated his blog.

"You're a gem H"

recently became

"You're a gem, H"

Cool
