No thats on Onyx, the ark is on earth, unless there is some link through the space time continuum between onyx and the ark (which there very well might be, who knows what those crazy forerunners thought up) its somewhat unlikely.

Has anybody tried de-stegging any of the AR Avatar images?

Has anyone linked the above glyph to the Covenant yet? The scene reflected in his helmet is from the first Halo3 teaser where he's on the cliff looking down at the large Covenant ship that is unfolding.

From what I remember anyway.

Not sure what that means, I just didn't see anyone make that link yet.

I did. Nothing.

Edit/Correction: I only tried the latest avatar. I will try all the images thus far tonight.

EDIT: I think you are talking about the 4th letter in the first example ('I love it/him/her/them.') Is that the one you mean?

Anyone else see a connection between the newest AR avatar and the graphics on Server 1 at halo3.com?



Image adjusted for brightness and contrast to show off honeycombs and circle like symbol on the left.

It's not a covenant ship that's unfolding - that's the forerunner installation which is believed to be the Ark. Thus the glyph appears in the chief's reflection to be on an arm of the Forerunner installation.

I don't see the circle you're referring to, but the "honeycomb" motif is being used throughout all Halo 3 media. It was heavily used in the beta as well.

 		Please be sure you guys are reading the relevant FAQs and Wiki's before going into this. The image is not a fake. It was posted this past Friday soon after AR showed up on Bungie.net and used on the main page of Halo3.com. It was most likely used to show us that this was in fact a legit ARG. The image has since been replaced by the "Locked" Servers 1-5.

Good find, but be sure to check to see if it's something that's already been mentioned!

EDIT: No biggie!

 		Yup i noticed the honeycombs a couple of days ago but didn't mention it. The background image is from the halo 3 E3 trailer and the honeycombs are the debris that Master Chief walks through in the beginning of that trailer. As some others said, i guess its part of the honeycomb motif that bungie is doing.

 		I overlayed AR's new avatar on africa from google earth the "J" appears to point to dafur. I'm just grabbing at straws until something new happens
