 		Both of the graphics provided to us by Server 1 contain much Adobe Photoshop data, and Slide_Ref070107.jpg (a date in the filename?) contains the following information about the source image (I have removed the XML tags from the data for brevity):

 		 We have a winner...!
At first glance, I thought this looked a _lot_ like something from under a microscope. I emailed the image to my father, who has a masters degree in Biology - he worked in a ecology lab for 8 years.

He says that this is definitely a transmission electron micrograph. In other words, it's an image taken through an electron microscope. To give a sense of scale, a single human cell would take up about the whole image.

Hope that helps some.

It makes it even harder to suspend disbelief when someone points stuff like this out. Crying or Very sad

 		This image was edited on a Mac.
com.apple.print.ticket.client
and was dated in the .txt. 7-0301-03

Seems to me like Microsoft and/or Bungie decided not to shell out the cash to 42 this time around and thought they could do the ARG themselves, and this is the kind of mistakes you get.

Well, on halo3.com Server #1 is the one that's been unlocked, but the Transmission Log and everything else references Server 5...so I think that the discrepancy lies there in this case. But the 7's are intriguing and I think we may be onto something with the dates.

Great find Red. Did he mention what he thinks it might be (real life wise). Or do you think it's a photoshop job. I'm gonna throw myself out here and say it's probably a sample of the flood but I was just wondering what you thought it might actually be.

If you take the image apart in word pad. it comes right out and says that this is a picture of the Streptococcus Bacteria ( associated with strep throat )

 		Ok, so if you open this image in Photoshop you can find some hidden paths.

Here is the paths box shoing the 3 and their names, and highlighting path 1


And here all 3 paths are filled in red.


The extend outside the boundry of the image... where they left in by a designer who addapted the image? Or do they mean something else?

 		Maybe it's a path that is set by the bacteria. Then again virus' don't really have a set path do they? It could mean that it is somehow spreading, but where?

 		That's pretty cool.

I see that the middle red blob (shaded guide area) looks like it lines up with the middle blue blob (from the actual photo) if you spin it 180 degrees and resize it a little. Perhaps if you manipulate all 3 guides in the same way they'll highlight something? Can someone do this? I'm without a photo editing program that's worth a damn.

EDIT: Okay well it turns out I can do some things with "Microsoft Picture It!" than I thought and I came up with this. I was hoping something would jump out at me but it doesn't look like it. Maybe someone with Photoshop should do it since my image keeps the original image underneath the shaded red...

EDIT2: You guys were fast.. and your image looks better so let's go with that.
