Scratch that. I've been informed that 'nobody' is a username which exists on most linux machines. So it's nothing unusual.

Hmm, "nobody" comes up in tech docs quite a lot, as an "example" user usually.

I've been playing with my Apache quickly (fnarr) and it turns out you can have a blank username for login prompts like this one. So I suspect we're just looking for a password then. 50% less work, though, still seems to be a lot.

ooo you move fast overnight. Been playing around with es ci, which could be latin (in that the words exist in latin) but then again they could be italian or spanish forms.

es can mean early and ci is related to movement, disturbances

the only thing I found interesting was ci could be 101 in roman numerals

One quick observation: There's a lot of Superman-style double-letter initials going on here - so far I count: 2 x AA (Augustine Asimov & Art Against), 2 x NN (Nomen Nescio & Numerius Negidis), 1 x DD (Design Disco).

A, N, D... or DNA?

Hey, guys. I've split these posts from the unrelated 6op 1 libra thing.

Adam,
I spoke with Art (ALL May Pass Security) and he verified that you have the appropriate clearances from top to bottom, of course.

Update: I just got an email from Eric Hachlinski from 6op1libra which points to this:
"ftp://nomennescio.org/ - you can access files in the mail folder. I am
scared for them."

Another update from Eric:

off-topic: his status on MSN was "Loblaws", which is a great reference to arrested development. Smile

Loblaws is a supermarket chain of 68 stores, headquartered in Brampton, with stores across Ontario and Quebec.

Just pointing at the Dutch connection...

"Nescio", Latin for "I don't know", was the pseudonym of the Dutch writer Jan Hendrik Frederik Grönloh.

And, as far as placeholder/unknown identity names, what about John Doe and Richard Roe? "Doe" (a female deer) and "Roe" (a small species of deer found in Europe), more animals for the zoo? Smile

Countries/regions that use N.N. for unknown or unspecified persons:

Denmark, Norway, Poland.

Also, the tag on the panty hose image - One Size (fits all), seems (to me, anyway) to point to another instance of All May Pass.

unless we do need a password, somebody needs to change the file permissions in the mail directory, all I'm getting is that the files have been uploaded by an anonymous user and haven't been approved for download.

that manuscript page is from the Archimedes Palimpsest, specifically from "On Floating Bodies" (image can be found here about 3/4 of the way down)

How do you DO that??? Surprised

Wait a sec - if Mason just got an email from Eric Hachlinski pointing to nomennescio.org, but Eric was our original contact for 6op 1 Libra... shouldn't that tell us these two really ARE connected?

I don't believe so.
I brought it up with Eric and it appears that he was just reacting to what I'd said. If you check the 6op1 thread, I've pasted the entire email thread and he clearly warns me off AA/AA/NN.org.

I'M IN!
the un/pw could not have been more obvious... actually, apparently it could have been, because Art spelled it out for us on his blog. It didn't seem like there was anything worth looking at... at first. But highlight the text, and look for some misplaced letters, and a couple of arrows. ;]

[edit] Sorry for the double post. I just got really excited. Rolling Eyes
