Also splat could refer to the star key on the keyboard, which would be a round about way of saying that you have to understand the star image. Of course i may be completely wrong, that not an uncommon scenario for me.

The "SPLAT" is the standard unfiction replacement for the "@" sign. Any email address you type will be automatically converted (johndoeSPLATexample.com). This is so that the email addy's can't be harvested by spambots.

Ha, I noticed that replacement was being made, but I didn't realize it was an automatic thing. I just figured everybody was making the replacements themselves because they were aware of the spambot implications.

I tried to post earlier from my cell phone but it apparently did not work. I am from Bloomington/Normal, IL and as far as Ive been able to tell that there isnt anything going on here in game, but If you guys happen to find something in game Id be happy to check it out. I took some classes at ISU, but do not recall a David George. There is a link between Bungie and Normal, IL however. Bungie Employee Steve Scott, Effects Lead is a fellow Illinois Wesleyan University Alum, and grew up in Normal, IL. This could be the reason for the mention of Normal, but who knows.

I think the only implication is that the PMs shouldn't use such common-sounding names for major characters.

That and maybe a little research would hurt either...

David George is the founder of the Society of the Ancients, or SoTA.
