For some reason, the page will not work for me now that I know the un/pw.

When the page was loading, I noticed an address - kyletompkins.com

Kyle Tompkins is an artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It appears he also uses the phrase Art Against Art... and on this page, I found he was born in St. Augustine, Florida.

Yes! We're getting somewhere!
Kyle Tompkins is definitely part of the game.
This page: http://www.kyletompkins.com/wp/?page_id=26
Shows a beating heart. Augustine had a black and white version of this picture as his avatar on MSN. See attached.

Not seeing anything in the source that would involve kyletompkins.com.
Am I missing something in the scripts?

When the page was loading (in FireFox) the bottom left of the broswer frame said 'transferring data from kyletompkins.com'

I see it too, but Rogi is right... nothing in the code. Maybe it was unintentional and we've stumbled apon the PM.

He's probably pulling stuff from the site. Kyle is too real to be in game, there's far too much out there about him. Unless they started this a long, long time ago Wink

I am still confused about the two games - all this ART stuff.. Art Against Art, and Art imitates life....

ETA: and rabbits -- and birds Confused

Well, it may have been unintentional for us to notice the site the data was being transferred from, but they are dropping hints..

Might be totally unrelated to anything, but I pulled the .gif from his header.
The repeating text - in a 42-frame loop - is:

You vs. Them
Us/The vs. Us/The World (super imposed)
Us vs. The World
The World vs. Man
Man vs. Dirty Apes
Dirty Apes vs. Bananas
Bananas vs. Peels

AA says...
BRAVO ... on the butter chicken.

A new clue? I believe so.
Aulus Agerius?
That's the other half of Nomen Nescio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerius_Negidius

We should assume that Kyle Tompkins is Out of the Game, his website appears due to an error with the server (http://nomennescio.org/images/) all images in there redirect to his site.
I assume this is why he uses imageshack - because there's no other alternative.

From Wikipedia:

doing a wikipedia search on the name Aulus Agerius redirects to Numeris Negidius, which also references Nomen Nescio. Someone asked if this name might be a clue. DEFINITELY.

edit: oh, I see mason already updated his post. Wink

I'm not so sure he is out of the game, especially when Augustine uses one of his paintings as his MSN avatar. I think more research is in order.

Ok i am new to ARGs but something here is something I found not sure if it's useful or not. When you hold your mouse over the image called abacus a box pops up saying "litmus" i read the entire thread and don't remember seeing it all so here ya go.

litmus was referenced at least once before. I made a note of it. we've done a bit of research on litmus on the IRC channel, but nothing substantial has come up yet.
