I think the picture was just put their as a kind of hint to let us know that litmas and the other phrases we have got so far are infact latin. but i am just speculating since in the picture it looks as if the buildings in the back ground are of a roman and or greek nature and the travaler in front has on roman style clothing.

Artist's initials?

I think the picture is from one of Aesop's Fables.

it just has the numbers 1 2 6 8 on it maby we only have to fill out the numbers 1,2,6,8 on the expense fourm, which if you use the First letter from the words in Constant Speed Of Light their is one for each and considering number 1 is filled in with a C maby that is the right way to go?

This might be a silly question, but doesn't the file size for the pdf seem rather big?

Okay, okay, Augustine is begging me to post this, so here it is:

Quote:
Augustine says:
How goes the behind-the-scenes field work?
Scorpio... says:
Who knows? It's all very deep.
Always good to take a peek behind the curtain.
Augustine says:
I think you mean "cloak"
Scorpio... says:
Kyle wears a cloak?
Augustine says:
Hehe, I doubt he would say it like that!
Scorpio... says:
I don't know... these artists, you know what they say.
Augustine says:
"Pay me"?
Scorpio... says:
Haha. And is that what this is about?
Augustine says:
Smile
I'm not really sure.
I am not looking for payment, if that is what you mean.
Scorpio... says:
Haha of course not you, Augustine.
Augustine says:
So, you feel as if you've already seen behind the cloak then?
Scorpio... says:
What more is there my friend?
Augustine says:
If that were the case and you indeed had seen behind the cloak...
then you would be in possession of key twentyeight, which I don't believe you are.
Scorpio... says:
That lovely picture? I am indeed
Augustine says:
Hmmm
Scorpio... says:
Was that not what you were referring to?
Augustine says:
I'm not at liberty to say, really
Scorpio... says:
Hands are tied and all that? Red tape?
Augustine says:
Put a feather in your cap, go past the cloaked one, in order to traverse the path.

Scorpio... says:
And call it macaroni?
Augustine says:
Call it a 12-layer bean dip for all I care!
Scorpio... says:
Wow, 12-layer? Intense
Augustine says:
Beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, salsa...etc.
Scorpio... says:
I like it. We should sign off and get some of that sometime AA
Augustine says:
Sounds good, but first things first
Protocol
Scorpio... says:
Yeah. I guess. So, where do I go next?
Augustine says:
I have said too much already. Good bye.
Scorpio... says:
You know, some people would consider it rude to end a conversation like that
Augustine says:
We are post 6 after all!
Scorpio... says:
Haha, post 6 are we?
Augustine says:
Yes.
Scorpio... says:
Alright then, I guess I'll have to let you off.
Augustine says:
Well, it's no big deal, we've been post-6 for over 7 years now...
Scorpio... says:
Blimey - really? That long?
Augustine says:
Really.
Scorpio... says:
Congrats.
Augustine says:
Thanks.

I guess looking on Kyle's site for a feather. I've attached the avatar Augustine was using at the time of chat.
He had the message "Who is behind the cloak?" on his MSN description.

slight progress
Augustine says:
We've noticed.
Reedus says:
Smile
Augustine says:
Congratulations.
Augustine says:
Do you have something for me?
Reedus says:
you mean a completed expense report?
Augustine says:
Aye.
Reedus says:
sorry, I only have the first item completed
Augustine says:
If you've found key twentyeight you'll be able to double-time your efforts
Reedus says:
I have found key twentyeight
Augustine says:
Have you really?
Reedus says:
well, I assume I have
Augustine says:
Hmm.
Reedus says:
although, as with most things, I don't quite realize what they are when I first get them
Augustine says:
Have you put the feather in your cap to travel past the house with the cloaked one?
Reedus says:
well, now that you mention it...
Reedus says:
no
Augustine says:
Don't you have a feather?
Reedus says:
I see a feather right there --->
Reedus says:
is that the feather I need?
Augustine says:
Yes, I have a feather.
Reedus says:
haha
Reedus says:
the owl has feathers
Augustine says:
The owl can't help you with this one - not in a linear way at least.
Reedus says:
yeah, I just figured that out
Augustine says:
What did you figure out?
Reedus says:
that the owl isn't where I should be looking
Augustine says:
You should be looking behind the cloak.
Reedus says:
after reading your conversation with mason, I believe I am currently looking behind the cloak already
Augustine says:
Then you have twentyeight?
Reedus says:
to be blunt, I have twentyeight.pdf
Augustine says:
So you have the key then?
Reedus says:
perhaps I have the key and I'm just not sure where the lock is
Augustine says:
You know that ALL MAY PASS, but you need a feather.
Reedus says:
would you say the key is the feather?
Augustine says:
No, I wouldn't say that.
Augustine says:
Unless by "key" you mean "essential".
Reedus says:
I see
Reedus says:
but you would say that by having twentyeight, I also have the key, correct?
Augustine says:
Don't bring a bookworm to a feather party!
Reedus says:
hahaha
Augustine says:
By the way, I'm not calling you a bookworm.
Reedus says:
I'm not much of one, to be honest
Augustine says:
Are you a circus employee then?
Reedus says:
I wish!
Augustine says:
Then how did you possibly think that you had twentyeight?
Augustine says:
Where have you looked for your feather?
Reedus says:
it should make sense to you why I think I have it
Reedus says:
I haven't invested much time on the feather, specifically
Augustine says:
When I lose things I always find it in the last place that I look, which should have been the first.
Reedus says:
often, the hardest things to find are right in front of your face
Augustine says:
If you look in the home of bookworms & circus folk I'm sure they'll show you their feathers.
Reedus says:
I'll keep that advice handy
Augustine says:
Words to live by, my friend.
Reedus says:
perhaps I'll adopt it as my mantra
Augustine says:
One of your own must have a feather, surely.
Reedus says:
my friend finished her dissertation today and we're headed out to celebrate with her advisor
Reedus says:
so I will have to pick this up sometime later tonight
Reedus says:
I'll be sure to share with my brethren before I leave
Augustine says:
Tell your friend that Augustine Asimov says hello, and congratulations!
Reedus says:
okey dokey! ciao!

Art has a photo on his blog. It is called see-s-2-feather.png, which is of course the Adobe CS2 Feather... not that I know what to do with it yet...

[edit]
Wait, idea: What if you're supposed to open twentyeight with Photoshop? Play around with the layers or something. Augustine keeps telling us travel past the house with the cloaked one, or to look behind the cloak. The twentyeight graphic has a cloaked man, a house, and a path. Anyone have PS?

rename the file twentyeight.jpg and open it in photoshop. Reduce brightness to between -92 and -82 and set contrast at +82. You should see hidden words. It looks backwards, so give it a flip. Now just gotta clean it up some.
