You know this has been an added bonus of this mystery. Some of the source images are truly breathtaking. If nothing else it has spurned something of an interest and respect for me for the field of astronomy, a subject hitherto too arcane for my usual musings.

Anyone had any sort of response from Lachlan Murdoch? I have sent him a message posing as a media student and fellow admirer of J Hendler's work hoping to gently probe him on the nature of their relationship, as I mentioned earlier I have sent something similar to DJ. I feel sure we will move things on if we understand how these figures interconnect.

Yeah I agree Katrinasrvivr504, Lachlan is proving the most reluctant of all to engage with us. Dr. Hendler, even Dj, we can kind of get a handle on what they're about but Lachlan remains a complete mystery to me. I hope he replies to your message Wink

Hey guys, I'm another newcomer; I've been reading this thread for a couple days now and figured I'd join the cause. It looks like it's going to be very interesting, with so many other new players!

Schrijvertje posted a link in the last page to some images of the aurora. I wiki'd that and found that solar flares have a connection with the magnetic fields that effect the aurora lights. In looking at hendler's blog as well, he mentions twice an event in 1989 Quebec...apparenty there were some huge solar flares that displayed the aurora lights "as far south as Florida and Cuba". The end result was the entirety of Quebec's power grids being shut down and the city operating without power for between 12 hours and a day.

Hendler dismisses the event, but I'm not so sure we should.

So the pic is of solar flares, and Lachlan obviously knows something.

A reply from Lachlan! Cool! And he accepted my friend request. There are now three others in his list next to the 16 Ruperts. Perhaps he'll become more active now.

Mm, I take his comment to mean: "Just wait, you'll see a lot more solar flares soon and it'll rock your world," which to me sounds like a confirmation of what I was already thinking. Lachlan is pro in the solar flares being dangerous discussion, while Hendler is anti.

If you think otherwise, please say so. I could be wrong.

Don't know if Hendler is cleaning out his attic to make room for his daughter. Perhaps it's got nothing to do with it. Or perhaps he has some stuff up there he doesn't want her to see.

After all, what do we really know about their situation? Might be his daughter has a very good reason to keep her distance. We shouldn't just assume Hendler's the good guy.

I was also wondering whether all these images and articles we are seeing are only for show, or are they trying to tell us something? Are they supposed to lead us somewhere?

Interesting developments, fizzcharlson. I was already getting the feeling Hendler has some fanatic tendencies. We'll see how he acts now that he's getting the extra attention.

Going back a bit, did anyone look into the name of one of the images on his blog- Occasus? It seemed a little out of place for me, and I tried to find soemthing on it, but all I'm getting is a death metal band, and something in Spanish.
