I think mason explained this somewhere else. if I am correct, he told eric about nomennescio in a previous email and eric was just reponding. I assume eric knows his way around root folders. you can find lots of things just by adding a / to the end of a url. I suppose maybe eric was just curious about it and/or maybe trying to help out mason.

I don't know how to open those mail files, though. would outlook work? I've been focusing on other things, so I haven't messed with it too much.

Yeah, I totally agree. Eric is an interesting character regardless of game.

This is lame because they give too much. They throw us to the answers, as if they're hurrying us up. AA is just handing me the answers most of the time... when really they should let us dwell, or give us just enough so we work it out themselves. I didn't feel that warm fuzzy ARG feeling after getting the 6 clue because it was handed to me on a plate.

And wtf is with filling the form out for us once one player gets it? It presumes that only UNF are playing this.
Plus, as Morbus said on IRC, it has no story. There's no reason for doing all this... no AR, just G. I don't know why I'm solving these puzzles and what's coming of it. At least 6op1, when we thought they were the same, gave a bit of a background (graffiti, etc).

HMMMMPH!

This is probably not the answer, but I think it's sort of ironic anyway.
It says, "submit claim forms to your SOO" on the expense sheet.
so far we have
1. C
2. -
4. -
5. -
6. M
7. -
8. -
9. -
10. -
11. -

What if we are literally suppose to submit:
1. C
2. L
4. A
5. I
6. M
7. F
8. O
9. R
10. M
11. S

It definitely fits. Ha.

we're sort of past this at this point, but I can now happily report that bookworm refers to reader and circus folk refers to acrobat, both of which are adobe products. and of course, the feather, which has been known for a long time to be photoshop, is also an adobe product.

figuring this out doesn't move much of anything forward, but having closure is nice. Smile

it does. but is that too easy?

people say we need to make room for a G somewhere in there. but I'm going back and trying to figure out how they came up with a G in the first place.

In case anyone is sending "fudged" expense reports to the COO.
I am not, yet, as it's not something I want to lose my job over. Wink

But what about the "G"?

ETA: and the chromo 47 was in the OTHER game... Shocked

this is what I am referring to. no idea where this idea of a G came from.

never mind. The braille thing has a G in it. and I've been lead to believe that we're correct in figuring it's a G. which throws the whole CLAIMFORMS idea out the window. shame; it fit in such a nice, neat little package. Wink

Grumman XF5F-1 'Skyrocket'
It's a stretch... I'm just throwing out ideas. Could 5 be F?

ETA: Scratch that. It doesn't have anything to do with "viva EL cinco" which seems to be a pretty major hint.

I submitted it to Augustine when the claim form was first uncovered and he laughed at me, noting that he likes the way my brain works but 'he'd get laughed out of the office for that'.

Art is now Tar and we just had a convo:

Quote:

Tar says:
There are many clues, but a limited amount of keys. The last rule of the protocol is mathematics.
belac says:
ah! the subject I loathe the most
belac says: Razz
Tar says:
I didn't say it was complex mathematics!
belac says:
haha okay that might be comforting
Tar says:
You can count on your hands can't you?
belac says:
yes
Tar says:
Then feel comforted.
belac says: Razz
Tar says: RazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazz

10 smiley faces again...I think someone else mentioned that?

also, Tar's display pic was the four dots pic, in Augustines windows live page he has a comment from AA3 which is four dots and a comment from NN which is 10 smiley faces in a triangle shape ...what is going on...

it's been mentioned many times.

art/tar's blog is gone. you should have asked about that.

I added numerius_negidiusSPLAThotmail.com to my MSN buddy list. he sent me a message today. in spanish. basically asking why I added him to my contact list. the name he goes by (no kidding): el ingenioso hidalgo don juan carlos, senor de mamalluca y caballero del fuego. his tagline thingy: el fary QEPD 1937-2007. referencing the ingengious don juan carlos of mamalluca, horseman of the fire. RIP el fary (famous spanish singer and actor who died of luncg cancer this past tuesday).

that's a lot to type out for someone who probably has nothing to do with this. but...his name/info intrigues me...

ETA: AA3 has posted a comment on augustine's MSN space. it reads "::".
