Now. What do we do with it. I've googled the usual stuff, like "hope hendler" and haven't come up with much. Confused

EDIT: Good call on the infantcide thing in china. I'll follow that for a bit and see where I get...

I found a Hope Hendler on MySpace... not sure whether she's the one, but she refers to her father...

Looks promising, Mokey!

Does anyone know what "The Pink Hour" is? It's stated as the My Space Hope Hendler's location.

www.thepinkhour.com delivers a "site temporarily disabled" message. When you look it up in Google's cache, though, you see it's a store that will sell pink items - there's an e-mail address as well, francheskaSPLATthepinkhour.com.

Say, isn't DJ's e-mail "full of hope"?

Yeah his email most certainly is.
That sure looks like Hope's blog to me Mokey, she even makes reference to not revealing her whereabouts to her father. The Pink Hour has been used by others as a euphanism for the time of night when the sun is low - i.e. sunset (Ocassus maybe - is this our nod to a link?)
Interestingly her blog is playing a Marvin Gaye song as we speak, Hendler's blog uses the title "How sweet it is to be loved by you" for an entry. It is also a Marvin gaye song.

Made a discovery as well. Another of Dr. Hendler's blog posts is titled "I'll be Doggone", which is also Marvin Gaye song.

I must still be half asleep. I even posted a new blog with a photo of a "pink hour", didn't even realize it meant sunset Embarassed

Hendler thought she was staying in Portland. Is that the one in Oregon? That's north of California, right? So, where do you think Hendler lives? It's definitely near the coast, as he went to have breakfast there.

It certainly looks Schrijvertje like she is deceiving her father as to her whereabouts. From what I've read there's about two thousand miles between Oregon and California.
I'm getting the strongest intuitive feeling that DJ is Hope's partner, her name certainly seems to have inspired his choice of email and he was incredibly reluctant to talk about Hendler to me in email which would make sense if he is was hiding her.
We're gonna have to tread so lightly when trying to contact her via her blog, three of four new faces all posting solar-flare-related-hendler-tinged-orbitas-anagram posts is not gonna do it methinks. Mokey might stand a better chance, a girlfriend could be just what she is looking for.

Just thought, do you have any theories on Lachlan Murdoch's role in all of this Schrijvertje? He seems the most difficult to get a handle on. Slowly Hendler's life is revealing itself in insinuations but Murdoch is giving nothing away.
He's a fair few miles away across the sea in Oz so isn't in physical contact with either of them from what I can see.

I think the puppy is the way to go.

There's a link to www.icanhascheezburger.com on her profile. This is a site where they put tags on photo's of pets, mostly cats but dogs as well.

At first I thought the photo of her new puppy would show up there as well, but I didn't find it (must admit though, I got tired of browsing).

Mm, you might be on to something as regards to DJ. Very plausible. Especially when you look at his last message, when he didn't want to talk anymore at the first mention of Hendler.

I'm out of ideas for now. Lachlan has me puzzled as well. After he replied to my comment to his blog, I posted another question but he hasn't answered it.

In her profile, Hope says that one of the people she'd like to meet is Al Frankin. That's the only one in the list I don't know. I think he's a physicist, because when I Google him I come to this page:
http://www.physics.sfsu.edu/~shestopl/me.html.

I think it's uncanny that this guy has a degree in astronomy.

Man, you won't believe this, but totally out of the blue I tried something out and guess what?

She's got a YouTube account!!!

Only two short vids for the moment, but she says she's on a trip.

Stunning find.
I have converted those vids to xvid and run a few tests on them frame by frame. There's nothing hidden within them, they are exactly what you see.
I did wonder if a female PM was behind all of this a while back. Do you remember the strange cryptic message we got way back when, signed a-. It was only when Mokey queried what A minus meant that I realised it was an anagram of animus, personification of all masculine psychological tendencies within a woman. I wondered then if this was a clue to a woman being being the male personas we were dealing with.
She calls the dog Princess, wonder if this is literally or figuratively to coin Dr. Hendler's phrase.

Actually just had evil thought Idea
There's one way we can get Hendler to communicate with us a little more urgently than he is doing. Tell him we know where Hope is. Of course we don't have to actually go through with it as we have no idea of what the implications would be for her if he found her but we can at least dangle the carrot in exchange for a few answers.
I'm willing to do the deed if you think it's a cunning plan. I've always wanted to be a baddy!

P.S. I guess Al Frankin is Al Franken - an American comedian turned politician. You see his name written both ways all over the net. The chap you linked to has named his page Al Frankin but is actually Paul Shestople.

yet another n00b

Hi all,

I've just spent the last day or so catching up on this development. Haven't got much in the way of concrete clues, just observations about Hope and Hendler- Hope seems to have more liberal leanings than her conservative father- she wants to meet Al Franken (liberal comedian/political and media commentator) and Al Gore, proponent of action to counter global warming, which was already mentioned here to be a similar issue to solar flares. Also, the Marvin Gaye song on her myspace account (What's Goin On) definitely has political undertones confronting issues of injustice. This is in stark contrast to Dr. Hendler, who comes off as extremely conservative, especially in his post "The fascination with a Sicko," in which he complains about everything from the liberal media, the inutility of universal healthcare, immigration, communism, etc...

This looks like it's gonna be fun!

Big Hi Marnut! Great observations. Coincidentally, Rupert Murdoch's forays into the media in the UK were generally right wing and with supportive overtones for the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Whilst a counter arguement could be produced that he established a close relationship with Prime Minister Blair upon her removal from power he is generally considered to hold Conservative views: he supported George W Bush during both election campaigns. Whilst Lachlan Murdoch has publicly declined to affiliate himself with any one political ideology from what I've read he certainnly holds beliefs that in the UK would not be out of keeping with the Liberal Party's mandate. Would seem there's some similarities between the two parental conflicts highlighted in this mystery.

*Just replied to an email I thought could possibly be in game. I think I may have signed up for a Russian Ladies Dating Service. Ooops*

When you're viewing the video itself, the title above it doesn't contain that space, so I don't think it's intended.

Fizz, about your idea of dangling a carrot. Sincerely don't know, dude. I wouldn't do it myself. But yeah, it might be worth the chance. Then again, Hendler might get upset and totally clam up if he finds out you never really intended to tell him all you found out about Hope. And if Hope should find out about it, you might never hear from her again, either. And who knows how DJ will react, whatever part he's playing. It might be something to consider later on, when we've got a better idea of everyone's situation.
