That line about two enemies is really intriguing. Assuming this is forerunner, and recorded prior to the first firing of the halos, we can guess that one of those two enemies is the flood. But was the first enemy? Or perhaps the forerunner themselves had a hand in the creation or release of the flood in the first place.

Maybe one of the enemies WAS the forerunner. Maybe the forerunner weren't united as a race. Maybe they had some sort of political or social rivalry going on. Perhaps those that wanted to fire the halos and those that didn't? I can imagine if humanity was in the circumstance the forerunner were in, there would certainly be a lot of political debate over destroying all life in the universe.

 		Here's something I've found in editing the movie (which is now rendering fyi):

On August 25, 2007, exactly one month from Halo 3's release, mind you, 7 Iris, Earth, the Sun, Venus, and Saturn all line up with each other almost perfectly. As seen here:



In the backwards transmission, both Saturn and Venus are mentioned in the same "sentence". In the flash video, both planets can be seen.

Through this, I expect that something important will happen in this ARG one month before the game's release.

At the bottom of the page, there's a Java app that NASA uses. I just forwarded the dates until Iris lined up with Earth and then zoomed out to see that it lined up with Venus and Saturn too.

This is a possibility, but we haven't met the Covenant yet and presumably neither has the entity we're communicating with. Plus, since he's talking to us in 2007, how could he expect us to know about the covenant?

Have the covenant even been brought up in the story at all so far?

 		Another interesting point from the backwards audio video sync is the part where it says:

Before I even messed with the video, that part still fit with the picture of the monitor. A couple of people have already speculated that AR was a monitor with split personalities (was it 4?).

My only explanation is some kind of time paradox is going on here, and thus the "current events" are happening in 2007 and 2552 at the same time.

Perhaps if it is a time paradox, it has to do with the alignment of the planets/7 Iris that rush found a couple of posts ago? Any chance that the same alignment takes place in 2552????

Great job on the video audio sync rush! Mad props to everyone that helped out with that!

A secret four lies inside. that was right after the onyx picture. i was thinking this might be related to the book "the ghosts of onyx" because the group of people, possibly four-i don't remember how many exactly, were sent to the shield world and were left to search and wander it. it just struck me that onyx was right before them talking about four people possibly. hope this didn't confuse.
