[SPEC] Iris, Elgar overlay and forerunner glyph comparisons

Alright, so first off, I did all the commonalities in the image and got it to a basic image. See here:

First off, number 10 looks the best. Secondly, my friend suggested that the most simple symbol (1) looks like what the ark looks like opening in the Halo 3 E3 video from above. Also, compare the forerunner alphabet:

Sorry for all the images.
Additionally, I overlayed the star image iris (from Sector 5) onto Mt. Elgar on google earth and the circle could've been pointing in two places. Either Sironko district or Sipi falls, both in Uganda. Just a long shot.
I think the best bet of my idea is comparing the Iris images with the forerunner alphabet.

EDIT: O and V seem to look like the iris in ways, and a lesser extent, L.

Um. Where did you get this "Forerunner Alphabet" from?

This is the first I've ever heard of such a thing. Last I'd heard, no one knew what the glyphs meant, much less had deciphered an alphabetic correlate from them.

Right. That's not the Forerunner alphabet.

Plus, an alphabet like that means the forerunners spoke an english-alphabet language... it's a simple substitution guide, not a language replacement. Think chinese for example - it's not letter for letter replacement. That looks like someone wanted to have some fun and make forerunner 'encoded' text.

HSP Joe Staten Interview wrote:
HSP: Humans (SPARTANS, specifically) have been shown in both the games and the novels to have an innate understanding of Forerunner glyphs, symbols, and controls. Is this something that will be elaborated on in Halo 3? Is there a Forerunner alphabet or language that can be at least partially deciphered from currently available sources? What would those sources be, specifically?

JS: I mentioned the Ministry of Tranquility earlier, and it just so happens to have an extensive library of Forerunner glyphs - though Ministry Prophets (even with the help of their Huragok librarians) have nothing approaching a full understanding of the Forerunner language. At least, they've never told anyone if they do...

Yes, some humans (Doctor Halsey, for one) have an almost preternatural ability to discern the glyphs' meanings. Given what we've revealed so far about Halo3 - that there's a very large object buried in the Kenyan savannah with distinctly Forerunner architecture - it's safe to say we'll elaborate on all things Forerunner in Halo3. Although some would say we've already made things perfectly clear.
