Red removal

Could the red be covering something? Can we take out the lunar calendar image? Can we take off the red completely and see if something is there?

The outer ring had the Mayan numbers in it that led to the backdoor page.

this is NOT the solve for the rest of orb.jpg, just so nobody gets excited. But did you know the mayans invented ascii ? Very Happy
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
there seems to be another way to solve the outer ring. doing mayan math the proper way, where the first dash or dot before a space stands for a multiple of 20. for example, the first square to the right of 12o'clock is dash-space-dash, would be (5x20)+5. the second square is dash-space-dot-dot-dot-dot-dash-dash so would be (5x20)+14=114 and so on.

the whole outer ring, starting to the right of 12o'clock going clockwise, would be "105 114 117 115 116 111 112 112 104 121 115 105 99 115 115 116 111 112 108 111 103 111 110 115 116 111 112"

covert from ascii you get "irustopphysicsstoplogonstop". add spaces you get "iru stop physics stop logon stop" (see what i mean by the mayans inventing ascii?). there's still the out of place "i" but the "y" and "c" are correct now. So I'm leaning towards the "i" being an error (ascii for "n" is 110, so should've been dash-space-dash-dash).

so i managed to solve the outer ring twice, but we're no further off hehehehe Very Happy

(and no, www.iru.us/physics/logon.html does NOT work)

Not sure if this is likely to be relevant, but the background image used for the 'verifying login' page has changed from http://www.nru.us/physics/bg.jpg to http://www.nru.us/physics/q.jpg.

There's definitely text in the background of q.jpg, although my image manipulation skills aren't nifty enough to get more than the odd word.

I recognize that!!! The text on q.jpg is the text from the questionaire in the pre-game (attached below).

For those who were not around back then: The first letter of each sentence in the questionaire spelled out "embeded code" and the barcode on the upper right of the envelop (last page of the pdf) was a baudot code that decrypted to "http://www.geocities.com/meghanstarkey". That was the last of 6 tests in the pre-game...

Does this mean the old e-mail: lll_pllcSPLATyahoo.com is functional again?

The red background is the Nebra disk, see this image and this thread

I would imagine that would make 'nebra' the password? anyone got a logon?

edit: better image of Nebra disk here courtesy of grumpyboy in the above thread

Sundisk? (nope, kickout site)
Astronomy? (nope)
calendar? (nope)
Mayan? (nope)
lunar? (nope)
jbaxter (nope, but got this cute image)

thanatos? (nope)
quetzelcoatl? (no)

serpent/nebra got this site, which I'm not sure is just a kickout or not, but talks about time travel from 2036. (edit: must be a kick out, nebra/temple got it as well)
And this interesting quote:
Quote:
You do not rewrite history. I can only affect what happens here just as easily as you can. Why do people in this time period worry so much about time traveler's destroying their world line when they have no problem doing it themselves every day?

(edit: just so I can find this page on the nebra disk again:
http://www.eso.org/gen-fac/meetings/ekstasy2003/scheibe.html
Has some really nice images on it too.)

Quick thought:

Reggie mentioned sightseeing in Cancun. Probably the most famous attraction in Cancun is the site of Chichen Itzá. There is a pyramid there which is angled so that on the Autumnal and Spring equinoxes, there appear to be giant shadow snakes crawling down them.

The background of the orb is the Nebra disk. The constellation of stars known as the Pleiades depicted on this disk is in the orientation it would be on the Autumnal equinox.

The fall equinox usually happens around 9/22. When we discovered Jake's return.html blog on 9/23, it said he was coming home. Could he have hopped on the equinox?

Here is 1.jpg, cleaned up and bolded a little to see if the colors might be misleading.

I can't get to picture 1.jpg from Reggie's blog page anymore, it only redirects to 2.jpg. I've tried entering it in the url address, but still redirects to 2.jpg. Could someone check it please? If 1.jpg is gone what does that mean?

Guys - Like you I have been trying different ID/password combos and reading the pages that Enaxor and LL found. I can't read any more of this endtimes stuff. In particular I cannot look at another image of the WTC being attacked, burning, etc. I lived through that, as did we all, though my contact may have been more immediate than that of others. I just find it too disturbing. I am going back to spec on the characters and to update the timeline that I wrote earlier. Hope you solve this soon!
