[META] More Player Opportunities and Union Recruitment
Looking for something to do...?

NOTE: Just like EVERY POST on the Unforums this post is completely OOG and should not be used IG in any way. Resist the temptation.

Hey everyone.

So I know that recently some players have been feeling less than involved and all of that. Which pretty much sucks and I have been there myself. Therefore I am taking some initiative as a player and creating opportunities to accomplish things. Right now I am real busy trying to find a place to live here in Los Angeles but once I manage that I am going to set up a website and some kind of forum or email list or communal blog for trusted members of the Union to participate on. I am even coming up with a means of encryption that only those on the inside should be able to decrypt.

This is somewhat meta but if you are looking for something to do and can be a little patient for a week or two while I look for an apartment then let me know by listing me as trusted. I am going to be inviting all those 2007 agents who trust me to join the Union once I have the website and everything up and running. Hopefully this will help remotivate some people and contribute something positive to the player experience while we all wait for the Puppet Masters to get some free time again. This game is wicked fun and I would hate for anyone to feel down and out about it all.

I will say you should wait till after I post the Union Manifesto somehow into the system. That way you can know if it is something you actually want to be a part of it, since it will be somewhat opposed to several of the other IG factions and all. Similarly agents who are already strongly aligned with a faction toward which the Union is opposed (such as VN's personality cult or the Brotherhood) will not be invited to join.

well that just bully... Razz

jk. This sounds like a good idea. It would be a good way to keep busy while the PMs have finals (or whatever it is they do when they say their going to open up a new district, then postpone for months...)

EDIT: just don't go paying server costs. that's a pain in the ASS. Firsthand experience, don't set up a full website. Smile

I'd be very interested in getting involved in this.

On the topic of the Brotherhood, I think Brackin/Theo and Foo are both silly and should stop this wierd game. Father Ziod has been taking the VN thing too far, I thnk.

If it's possible to say, oog, how much of the manifesto is dominated by save jenna and how much is more general.

If you've got a printer, just print it out: pages 1 and 2 go on either side of the first sheet of paper, then pages 3 and 4, then pages 5 and 6.

If you haven't got a printer, the correct order to read it in is:
page 1, right side (cover)
page 2, left side
page 3, right side
page 4, left side
page 5, right side
page 6, left side
page 6, right side
page 5, left side
page 4, right side
page 3, left side
page 2, right side
page 1, left side (blank)

yeh I just cut them in half in the end and pieced them together, there were a few spelling mistakes but that might have just been an US-UK thing.

Similar to the super sekrit Red forums (I'm assuming that's why TGI Fridays got the color upgrade, anyway Cool ), Agent Hook is only sending the manifesto out to trusted people--it's not on an in-game site or anything. I'm hoping both the site and the manifesto will eventually find its way to the wiki for archival purposes, but that's just me.

perhaps if you ask Miss Hook very, very nicely, I mean with sugar and cherries on top she may let you have a copy for the wiki.
