flash video altered?

At the end of the flash video, have the frames of a halo firing been removed? Or is that just my computer being stupid?

edit: i also cant catch the first hidden message in the flash video. i can catch the second one, but the first i cant see. anyone else seeing the same thing??

edit again: nevermind about the first secret line. i managed to see it. but it still looks like the end of the flash video was altered. thoughts?

Ok, other file differences:

* StarImage1.jpg
has not changed one bit

* SlideRef070107.jpg
looks like the original (saved in Photoshop CS2 on a Mac) was re-opened and saved in Windows, datestamped June 22, in order to get rid of all the meta info - significantly, the reference to gettyimages, S.Lowry and the bacteria

Would the transfer from mac to windows explain all the changes to the image data itself?

I doubt it. After all, Photoshop likes to keep the author information correctly. I'll try it and see if the paths were removed too.

My guess is that Dr. Lowry complained about all the emails he was getting.

Either that, or they're trying to point out it's not a picture of a virus/bacteria/microscope. Goes with the sonar theory, or the disguised map theory.

Not the author information, I understand why that is gone. I mean that the actual data of the image seems to have changed, and I have no idea why.

It could be a problem with my diff software though. WinDiff is usually pretty good, but it may be having trouble keeping up with the offset changes in confusing data like a jpeg.

I compared the images, and the differences seem to be in random pixels, just one or two bits off (eg, a difference of one on the rgb colors, range from 0 to 255). Probably an artifact of recompressing with JPEG.

Either that, or they added some message with steganography.

[Spec]

Has anyone checked to see if clicking on the glyphs on this thing in a particular order might lead to something?

By my math, there would be 120 potential combinations.....so that might take a while.

I'd narrow it down by saying that the glyph that leads to the video should be clicked last.....and maybe the file names give reference to which order they should be opened.

Ah, didn't think of recompressing, that makes sense. Steg was my first thought, but I couldn't detect anything.

Paths...

Paths are still intact in the new image.

And switching to Windows wouldn't change it; I use Windows and the original file still had the metadata.

I hear a voice

I think I hear the voice of a child or girl in there also. I'm posting a sound clip of the server page that I enhanced. Listen for a high tenor voice.

Yeah, I'm hearing it too. We're talking about it in chat, trying to get a better sample of the sound and clean it up.

TheBruce, do you have a higher quality version of the background noise, unaltered?

Sounds like a child. Maybe a sample from Starry Night?

Actually, I'm fairly sure that's just a waver in the lightscreen/display noise.

When we resampled the sound we couldn't find the voice, so it may be an artifact of the sampling quality.
