[SPEC] SOTA counter. Has anyone else noticed that the counter on the SOTA page seems to be going up way too fast?
I tested my theory, and I have a feeling that it is counting seconds, not users visiting the site.
Any thoughts?

I think there are just that many people checking the page. The counter is hosted on another site (easycounters.com) so I seriously doubt it is counting seconds.

Yeah, I just wasn't sure because the number was going up so rapidly, and also seemed to increase quickly, even when I switched pages. Maybe there is supposed to be a specific number of visits before something changes?

Not to mention if you just sit there and refresh it, it counts you as another visit every time, so it will go up as fast as you can hit f5.

Not that anybody does that, of course.

Maybe nothing, but does anyone else want something to happen to the sota site when the counter passes 1000000. Would be pretty sweet

40 every 5 seconds? *cough* It's me *cough*
I took the idea and automated it with a script in the Mac OS X terminal.
The script: `while echo; do curl -s -o /dev/null http://www.easycounter.com/counter.php?sota; done`
In other words, the computer is refreshing the counter as fast as it can.
EDIT: 600K. I'm stopping
