Just for completeness, stegdetect gives a positive result down to 0.75 sensitivity - at 0.7 it picks up nothing. Didn't bother narrowing it down any further, I figured that was good enough as a guide. OTOH, I've tried all the names I could find in this thread that seemed likely, plus others that popped into my head along the way, and nothing yet... Once again, reached the limit of my brain. Time for bed...

I think the positive was on the background jpg file mrhappy, the one with the skull face, not the one of death on a pale horse.

I agree, I doubt the word would be on a normal list.

PS: tried Fritz and deepfritz and azrah and elAjedristica (the last two other chess automata) as pw and those were kickouts as well.

Sorry to disappoint, but the positive was definitely on mrnotsohappy.jpg. Although I have to say (notwithstanding what I said up there Rolling Eyes ) I'm starting to wonder if it is a false positive after all.... Crying or Very sad

my latest theory:

The mayan calendar ends at december 21, 2012 (end of times), so I've been trying various combinations of that date as the password, so far nothing.

maybe we have to enter it as mayans would? I don't know, I'm tired.

Not the answer either

OK I looked at the Aztec day names and tried to work out something numeric with them and Reggie's nightmare that he had three nights in a row. I didn't get anything.
If anyone else interested in the day signs:
http://history.smsu.edu/jchuchiak/HST%20350--Theme%203--Aztec%20Calendar.htm

http://www.ancientscripts.com/aztec.html

http://www.amoxtli.org/cuezali/tonal.html

Let's just say, it didn't pan out for me, not taking the dream images and turning them into numbers, not taking the numbers and turning them back into letters. I hope someone can use this information better than I can. I'm tired of looking at it.

I like the way they spelled Hanta virus "Hunta." The sentinel chickens are for West Nile Virus. Such a great deal of research went into this site. Wink

I think we're pretty agreed that either the login or the password is Nebra?

So for the other component, we are getting clues associated with the Four Horsemen, as well as references to the end and beginning.

Revelation 1:8
??? ???? ?? ???? ??? ?? *)=?, ????? ?????? ? ????, ? ?? ??? ? ?? ??? ? ?????????, ? ???????????.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The four horsemen are known as Conquest or Plague or Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. This amusing kickout site names them as Bernard, Gary, Frank, and Dave, along with a fifth named Trevor who is in charge of self-assessment forms.

The only non-English kickout site I've seen is German. "Apocalypse" (which means "revelation" in Greek) is "Apokalyptischen" in German. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is "die Apokalyptischen Reiter" in German.

We have also gotten a few Norwegian words.
ENGLISH                     NORWEGIAN
WHITE                         HVIT
HORSE                        HEST
BOW                            BUE
CROWN                      KRONE
CONQUER                  SEIRE
RED                             RØD
TAKE PEACE              FJERNE FRED
KILL                            SLAKTING
SWORD                      SVERD
BLACK                          SVART
PAIR OF BALANCES   VEKT
PALE                        GULBLEK
DEATH                     DØDEN

We have also seen some Greek text:

White horse: hippos leukos
nikaw: conquer
purr(h)os: red
mac(h)aira: sword
melas: black
zugos: balances
chloros: pale-colored
thanatos: death
haides: hell
thanatoo: kill

I tried most of these with "nebra", doing logins and passwords. There's a possibility I mistyped, of course, so feel free to check my work!

Revelations

It took me a minute to realize that you were talking about the new info from Reggie which I will link here (sorry, I was up late and my brain, she is working slow today.) Thanks gb for finding this.

http://nru.us/images/doodles/3.jpg

and which is discussed here http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3599&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

I found a copy of the Bible and tried every combo I could think of from Rev 6:2 and Rev 6:8

Also vision,prophecy,dream,etc.

I tried the first word of the passage "I looked" and other passages (beginning)
Combos of alpha and omega [the beginning and the end from Rev 1:8]
combos of Rev6:2, revelation, etc.
combos of first seal, seven seals, etc.
Lamb- (who opens the seals)

I tried Antichrist (I didn't try Beast-although that would be funny)

I am certain (though I have been known to be almost always be wrong)that the login is nebra and we are just looking for the password. I also think that the password has got to do with something obvious that we are missing about the first horseman or the apocalypse. Maybe the Mayan connection was only to get the image from gb's decoding of the math and as a hint to the Nebra disk.

But I am running out of ideas again. Which I hate, so I will keep trying.

We have tried death, skull, etc right. Right, I thought so.

PS I was writing this at the same time as Addle, so I didn't see her above post until I submitted this one.

I keep running back and trying passwords (Someone solve this please!)
I tried apostate, sinner, and a few others, who does death on a pale horse kill anyway?

The only chess related one I thought of is endgame, but there may be others

I tried some poetry, even though we have no evidence that John likes poetry. TS Eliot (in my end is my beginning) Yeats and some other stuff that I could think of off the top of my head. nada, of course. but i tried and didn't want others to waste time on these.

My typing is always suspect so check away.

PS I do appreciate the humorous kickout sites. I feel like it is safe for me to go back into the dreaded kickout zone again.

Know what you mean... I feel like giving up and never coming back right now, but I just know I'll be back tomorrow worrying away at this. I hope someone gets it before then *Begs*. For what it's worth, tried endgame, checkmate and various others. Needless to say, no joy.
