 		a theory
hola to all, and bear with me, I'm totally and absolutely green to ARGs and this game. ^_^;

I've been lurking, reading, lurking some more, and reading some more for the last couple of days, and this is what I've gathered so far:

obviously, this is phase two, and we're having to choose sides between the TDC and CM.(this was made even more apparent by the use of light and dark imagery in the new video. More specifically, did anyone else notice the fact that there was a awful lot of day/night/sunrise/sunset scenes? and quite a few dealing with an ascension or ascending? does the CM perhaps think that things are coming to a end, but that a new beginning is also starting? my reasoning behind this is in the first few minutes of the video where you see the sunrise, and it pans to the left. IE, a birth out of the darkness(death).)

so my theory is this:
the CM is wanting us to choose sides, hopefully with him. he is going to be "passing the bread"(his trade) off to a prospective assistant. hence the "death" of the era of CM, and the "birth" of anew era.

but then again, I'm just a n00b.Razz

 		Welcome ... Yea I agree this new phase has changed the Cm. He never answered anything we sent him at first.... Even now he ignores half the stuff I send him... though i don't know how this will end but you gotta there are 4 sides now not 2.... you have Eric.... you have Michael... you have the CM and you have TDC..... Most everyone has forgotten about poor Eric... I am still with him....I guess we have to see how all this plays out though I figure it will play out like Saw... The bad guy gets away to ARG another day...lol... Though I hope Eric makes it out of saws...I mean the CM's maze...lol

 		Welcome Jack !

The video you were talking about is the CM showing us the two paths he walks. One is a path of light, all the church stuff. The other is a path of darkness, the outdoor pathway to his burial field. We had kinda figured we would be chosing one path/side in the end.

I like your ideas too, it adds depth and a 2nd layer to look at with this as the end of phase one and the start of phase two. He seems to weave a lot of two layered themes through the story.

I think that the bread passing will be a set up just as in the story of Jesus. The CM will give someone a way to turn him in for the police to find him. The conundrum is that we have to play the CM's game until we know that Eric is safe. So the person will have to bare the burden for a while and not tell Michael or the police. In the end the CM says he will become a ghost. Do you think he has made a prophecy here? Will he be caught and arrested like Jesus. Or will he just disappear like a ghost to possibly come back again.

If we all get the info, we will technicaly all be betraying Michael.

 		something to think about...
imagine if you will that all the evidence, the people involved, and the videos are a chess game.
the pawns have been put in place to put both players at a advantage or a standstill, major pieces have been sacraficed even though a few are still in play. we're in the phase known as "endgame" right now, a period where a few moves could mean disaster. both sides are having to watch carefully so that their queen isn't taken.
on one side, we have CM. his queen piece is Eric, with us as the pawns. he's confident, calm even, but he knows the end is iminant. we know all this...
but who's on the other side of the board? who do we(or the CM, for that matter) have to worry about the most? whomever that is, weather it's TDC, Micheal, or (I'm going on a random tanget here) Sue, they will do whatever it takes and sacrifice whatever pieces necessary to get CM's queen. which means they might get a little reckless.
I say we go after what would be considered the "weak link" in everyone's defenses, focusing on getting as much info as we can. somebody has certainly gotten a little slack than the rest...maybe we should suspect that person? specifically that of Micheal...he really has my goat for a lot of reasons, specifically that he's lying about something.

 		I personally doubt it is endgame time yet. We have three stages in chess: Opening, main and endgame.

Oh, and Jack? Stop reading my thoughts. You took the concept I have in mind and turned it somewhat into words. Wink

 		I'm starting to wonder if the kidnapping and human pet thing was a sort of publicity stunt. Eric seems to be becoming... incidental, at least to the CM. Now that we're all involved and focused on the story, I think what's about to unfold is the real reason he wanted our attention.

I didn't necessarily mean the end of the game we have going, but moreso I think it's going to be the end of the CM's phase in this. I'm still hanging on to my "assistant" theory...though the CM may turn into a "ghost", I think it's fully believable that it won't be the end of this.

what can I say? telepathy...that's how I roll. ^_^

 		So you think TDC its the real King and the CM a Queen to be tossed away??? that almost fits into the king - diamonds thing...Hummmmmm
Edit In chess if you get your pawn to the other players side you can make it whatever you want... you can turn a ghost into a queen...lol.

 		I dig the assitant idea. Yeah, its been done before, but in this case, and if done well, I think it would be awesome.

PS:Have you ever given your pets some toys? Like three balls and a book on juggling? But don't teach them magic tricks - they might use them against you! (like "disappearing", asking you to "assist" in a trick - where you end up being tied all up, you know - that kind of stuff.)

 		going back to my chess analogy...
as anybody that's played a game of chess can tell you, once you reach a certain point on the board, you've no choice but to be aggressive and press forward. you only retreat if it's too costly otherwise.
usually this occurs after you've passed halfyway through the board, when your good and well into enemy territory. I think, friends, we're past that halfyway mark.

I've been thinking about what the CM said phase two would start with: a hostile takeover. and it's been coiling in my head for quite some time...what did he mean exactly, I do wonder... and, yesterday, while watching LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD(wonderful movie btw.) it came to me:
at one point, the community thought that maybe he ment tackling the FET forums and metaphorically laying the smackdown on anyone there for clues or tips. perhaps the CM is merely waiting for a crack in the frame of Micheal? or TDC, for that matter? I mean, we really don't know too terribly much about either of them, due to lack of communication. and what we do know has left us scratching our heads...perhaps we need to plan some kind of attack on the FET forums?

also, as for the video being late, eh, give 'em a break. he's only human, after all. right?
