Okay, I made my first movements toward Betty. Sorry to have to do this

Ah hah!!!!! Maybe if she has the answer, we NEED her inside the temple to do the job afterall?

Then the question becomes, do we tell her we need to bring her in (and she works WITH us, doing the mission that Dick White set out for us) or do we not let her know ahead of time.

Good job. I just hope it takes a little while before the dogs get her.
You might want to point her to the spells webpage so she has some ammunition to hold out against The Trinity for as long as possible?

I just sent Betty an email telling her not to talk to you Taluria At least not until we all know the plan, if there is one. I also told her about the salt and the site with the protection spells.

I could be misunderstanding this and probably am since most of the recent events have confused me but I sort of got the impression that you aren't really supposed to take anyone's soul to eidolon. And if you are going to do that you should at least ask the person if they are willing to help in this plan, shouldn't you?

dash, how did you know Taluria talked to Betty?
Did Taluria post it in an IG forum? Did Betty post about it publically?

And yes, we are all a bit confused about what we are suppose to do.
We are suppose to figure out how to close the damn portal with MrAJ on the inside.

Some of us went inside, some stayed outside.
Those inside the nave are portals that allow access by The Trinity to find someone on the outside and bring their souls over to the nave. That is why we are not safe to contact while we are inside. But we are on the same mission. We need to have a means to officially communicate IG. I tried that with the WeAreSammeeeees.blogspot - but I guess that doesn't work.

And now MrAJ wants more souls. So he sends us out with the caveat that we CAN contact everyone EXCEPT that person to whom we pledged to bring back. So is this a means for us to do that communication (behind his back)?

But technically, you guys don't know that yet, until either MrGerold lets you know on Mildred's forum, or I post that information on WeAreSammeeees (and you all see it, and believe it).

And that leads to the question posted above.
a) Do the Darksiders agree to do this and we all fail and no one is taken over to the nave.
b) Do the Darksiders try to fulfill all of their assignments?
c) Do the Darksiders try to get one soul to show MrAJ he can trust us (possible that only those who succeed get into the closest part of the temple where the secret of his portal can be found)? And then do we try to take someone who is willing to cross over withus vs unknowingly? All questions I've posed in chat and in uF looking for feedback and comments from all of us players.

Kona I have no idea. As I said I am confused by all of this. Betty replied and basically cleared up some stuff for me. I take it that whether we like it or not more of us have to go to the darkside. She doesn't sound worried.

But, you got a proper response! We know that it will be okay to bring Betty over. Maybe we have to get to that goal of 30 afterall? And I'll bet Betty has the key. I've just sent another response back to Mister Gerold in that vein. Let's see if he bites the hook and gives us a similar response. Then we'll know it's okay to "take" her.

[META]I briefly mentioned this in chat this morning. I told chixor I have a blond friend who could stand-in as Betty and we came up with an idea to set up a picture of my friend (back to camera) looking at a picture of the Trinity on the computer screen. I could send this picture to the Eidolon after we've made sufficient contact with Betty (and she agrees to go) as proof we have succeeded on our mission. Since it would be in email, the PM could choose to use it or not.[/META]

I did something similar to what dashcat did. After I got this email from DoEP saying "WHERE IS MY HEART? SAVE MY HEART, DRIZABELLA!", I was heartbroken for him. And so, I sent a myspace message to Betty.

I wonder if it might be a good idea to try to get our hands on Trinket??? Sounds like Mildred's plan would work...keeps the Trinity from getting their hands on Trinket directly and gives Mr. AJ what he wants.

In the gamescape, I'm afraid for Trinket; she seems so fragile. Surely, seeing her sister among the Trinity would rip her psyche apart. If Mildred is suggesting that it would be better for her to be lead over gently, like what Higgs was trying to do for Peeps when the Trinity intervened, then maybe that is the thing to do.

On the metaside, it seems like the thing that the infiltrators are being lead to do. It might be as easy as posting something like, "Trinket, take my hand" on her myspace or LJ.

But we're not assigned to her, so direct contact may not work.

Unless we get Higgs to her. If we can get him out there. I can send another email to him.

Edit to add: Higg's response was a poster from a movie "No Escape" posted on my Comments. I think that means he cannot get out of the temple and cannot go get Trinket.
