Let's play a game of Pressure
A little two-player puzzle game I made up

I recently made up a little two-player puzzle game called "Pressure." You might want to play this at home, I've played with my friends and it's really quite fun.

SET UP:

There are sixteen game pieces. You can make them out of pieces of paper, all you need is some paper, scissors, and red and blue colored pencils.

1. Make sixteen small circles out of plain paper or whatever.

2. On two of the pieces, draw a "1" in red pencil on one side, and a "1" in blue pencil on the other side. On another two pieces, draw a "2" in red on one side and blue on the other side, and so on, making 2 pieces of each number all the way through the number 8.

3. On a sheet of paper, draw a grid of 16 squares in 4 rows and columns.

And you're set.

HOW TO PLAY:

Two players, one plays red and the other blue.
Each player takes one piece of each number. The red player turns their pieces red-side up, and the blue player does likewise, so each player has pieces 1 through 8 of their own color showing.

Red goes first, taking one number from his/her pile and placing it on one of the squares on the grid.
Blue places one of his/her pieces one of the 15 other squares. Repeat until all 16 pieces are placed.

Here's the gimmick: When one player places a piece on a square adjacent to a piece or multiple pieces of the OTHER color (adjacent horizontally, vertically OR diagonally), if the number being placed is HIGHER than any of the opposing numbers adjacent to it, then the adjacent piece(s) with lower number(s) turns over to match the color of the piece being placed down.
Any adjacent lower or equal numbers remain untouched.

For instance, if you lay a red 6 down adjacent to a blue 4 and a blue 8, the blue 4 turns over to make a red 4.

At the end of the game, the player with the most pieces of their own color wins. If both players still have 8 pieces each, the game is a tie.

Anyway, playing on forums is as easy as this: Just type out the numbers and make a grid of 16 zeroes, and take turns placing numbers, like this:

123456 8

0000
0700
0000
0000

12345678

If someone wants to play a game with me, just reply placing a number.

Also sounds a bit like Triple Triad in Final Fantasy VIII but with single numbers instead of one on each side. God, I loved that little game!

I would play with you but I'm busy doing other things so the game would progress a bit too slowly I fear.
