Hi folks. New guy here. This whole thing got me looking around. The Albert Pike that is registered as the Technical contact for 1-18-08.com is also the registered contact for sectorseven.org with the same name and address and everything .So while it may hold some relevance to the film, it's apparently just a name they decided to use for this sort of thing. Here's the link for the whois for sectorseven.org:

Calling the Number Yeah I called the number +1.3104504620 and I would recommend other people call it too it is a line setup for the movie no doubt. It starts naming flight patterns weather conditions and coordinates (at least thats what I thought).
Check it out.

After a little more research and a Google search of the number take a look at what I found out. (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%28310%29450-4620&btnG=Search)

cough (Note this seemed like it posted but on refresh it wasnt there, so if it's a double, apologies)
I checked out the above link for the whois and saw this phrase:
In hoc signo vinces
so put it in the search and got this wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_hoc_signo_vinces
The registrant ID for Pike shows this:
Registrant ID:tuDMzcBxUiyMSpz7
and down further is another name Andy Walden

Fake phone number
Question - in my own experiences with hosts I never saw any registrant IDs of the above sort. Is this legit or is this up for decryption?
http://watch.pair.com/stuph1.html Pike/phrase link
myspace page reference - http://blog.myspace.com/163766508
- just among the first links on the search. I wasn't in digging mode, just tossing it on the table
EDIT: Re the above phone number - I did call it to see what it was, but if this is set up for the movie why would it be focused on southern california instead of NY?
Also, the 99s shows the website for 99 licensed women pilots....
If this is about the movie would all those linked sites be fake?

;-/ Crap. Does this mean I will have to go scour the whole Lost archive just to catch up and know what's going on if this is a tie in?
I suppose the number above being air traffic control might be a tie in since Lost started out as a plane crash....but how would the monster from Lost end up in New York? Or, could the number above just be a shill since they figured people would call it regardless? Just a number to add there for shits and giggles?
I haven't kept up with Lost either way so this is alien to me.

Erm... probably not
I doubt it's a Lost tie in. Didn't they already have the Lost experience?

Unless they can fool the phone company, the number giving out airline information is registered to the FAA. So I don't believe the phone has anything to do with movie. I believe they used it cuz they knew would be automated line. I alos picked up on the "In Hoc Signo Vinces" and noticed it had been used a couple times. A little confusing because, you get varient information based on the exact domain (ie 1-18-08.com gives you Henry Kelvin, but 01-18-08.com doesn't list Henry).

This is true. However, they're using the name Cloverfield as the title of the movie now. Clover Field was the original name of Santa Monica airport. Is just me or does it seem like more than just a coincidence that the "fake" number used is an FAA automated line, and the project title is also an airport?
