No problem. My thoughts on this glyph are mixed, its hidden in the shadows and alot of people don't seem to notice it, which to me indicates that it is significant. But I still can't seem to think of a possible meaning for these glyphs, or how they help.

It looks like the two sides of the hallway are mirror images, but the blotchiness on the walls are creating the look of asymmetry.
As for the glyph, can anyone extrapolate the full symbol image to determine the configuration? It would seem the glyph onthe wall depicts all concentric circles open and aligned, with things streaming out/in from/to the center.
I'm also trying to determine if the spinning of the server 5 is significant, such as the wobbly axis and the direction of rotation.
. . . the waiting's the hardest part . . .

Here's the full actual background image, boosted to see everything. Note the inelligible markings on the back wall as well...
the left and right sides are just mirror images of each other as LordC said, and I'm thinking the glyph is just for decoration; if anything, it's likely the same glyph that's representative of server 05, the one we already have. There's not enough info to make it out or extrapolate, even.

As best I could... !EDIT!: Although actually, when it is overlayed over the cleaner image, thanks to thebruce, it doesn't work at all. It may be a new glyph, but probably not as meaningful as the others. Just something background to help establish the forerunner-ness of it.

that doesn't actually work. Really there's not enough of the glyph to determine which it is, or if it's a new one...
It has a central dot, and three rings, with no evidence of an opening at any visible point - it looks like the rings 'fade' as if they're worn, not ended like the openings on the glyphs we have.
Here's a highlight of whatever is visible of the glyph (inverted to make the detail more apparent). (sorry for the crap quality, I don't have acces to my Corel, so I had to resort to god-awful Paint)

I think the left-side glyph would be the "correct" one to look at, since the missing items are still possible in that image - however, it still does not help progress our mission.
Good work so far.

I stooped by my local Game Stop store and asked about any new Halo 3 promotional cardboard displays, they said they didn't have one but that the corporate office doesn't give them that much in promotional stuff.
I think these displays will have a better chance showing in the larger markets so let's keep an eye out for more on this lead.

I think what ever the promotional material is has something to do with the gifts people have been receiving today.

The gamestop in Saint Louis did have the display, but the material holder was empty hear too. I asked the manager about it and he said that they randomly get their marketing materials in. He did say though that most stores get a friday night shipment via DHL.
The funny thing was, he asked me "what the hell is the deal with that thing?" and that 2 or three other people had come in asking the same thing but didn't elaborate. I explained the whole thing to him. It's pretty hard to feel geekier than everyone else at a video game store, but I did.

Congratulations! Now there's something you can be proud of My current life's goal is to be able to out-geek everyone in line for the midnight release of Halo3. If I can accomplish that....well, I guess nothing important will result, but I'll think I'm cool, and that's what really matters!
