There's a new journal entry in Dr. Ambergris' Myspace Blog:

Journal

My friends:

Much of my research into the secrets of junk DNA is contained in the entries of my journal. For safekeeping, I have hidden the journal online. Use the answers to the puzzles I give you to locate my hidden journal entries. Some of them are encoded as an additional layer of protection. Study them. Learn from them. And above all, keep them hidden from the Order. Their agents, the men in black, are everywhere.

Good luck and Godspeed.

EDIT: Sorry, dana, beat you to it! Smile

So. We're looking for his journal... And it seems like we haven't gotten the puzzles yet. "Use the answers to the puzzles I give you," not "I've given you."

And yes, it seems like the agents of the Order will be making an appearance at ThrillerFest. Who's going?

EDIT: Darn you, Perko! Evil or Very Mad Oh, well, at least we're vigilant.

And thus the DNA code was solved.

Yep, we have found that a while ago. If you are just starting, you might want to read the thread - I know, it's long, but it will help. Smile

And we all know what happens just before he gets to do this... (Well, at least those of us who have read the press release do.)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He's murdered in his hotel room hours before the conference.

How does this help us find his journal? International Biogenetics Conference doesn't show up on Google at all.

This seems like a fairly 'early' clue, like we were supposed to find it before we found the Myspace etc.

Any idea where his "journal" could be?

Kloos

Umm the grid is also solved. I received an email from the Doc:

Quote:
It appears that you have found a shortcut to solving the junk DNA sequence by using a code generator. The repeating sequence that began my message embedded in the DNA sample repeated after a set number of junk DNA letters: 6, 8, 32 and 38 letters, respectively. The key to finding which junk sequences should be discarded was encoded in the first Magic Square by locating the substituted numbers from the original grid: 6, 8, 32, and 38. There is one other key encoded in the first Magic Square.

Sincerely,
JOSHUA AMBERGRIS

I dont know what it means or if i am missing anything, so plz give it ur best shot! Sorry If its messy =(
For a look at what I'm talking about, go to http://triadgenomics.com/research.html and select all (ctrl+a) or just highlight a bunch of blank space and ull find it ;)

The one dana posted on page six is different. I noticed that numbers next to each other going horizontally, when subtracted by themselves, equal the same as all the other number pairs in that row.

Emphasis mine.

Perhaps the other key is 33, 39, 57, 64? The numbers that were left out.
