Is there any way for a newbie to get into something like this, or is it just for MeiGeist players for the time being?

Nothing's really happening at this point, but it seems to me you can just jump in without any knowledge of MeiGeist. It seems to be almost completely unconnected.

Yeah, anybody can jump right in! The MeiGeist players are the ones who are getting the 'starting' emails (just because those are the emails that the PMs have); however, if you send an email to mrplasmSPLAT timehole.co.uk (the SPLAT is unfiction's way of coding the 'at' symbol), you can start a correspondence with A Plasm!
You might also consider checking out the forums at www.timehole.co.uk (the A Plasm subforum, in particular); and visit us in the chat ( http://www.unfiction.com/chat ), channel: #Geist.

hey guys im new to this whole thing but i was looking at the emails posted yada yada yada and so i googled speak to the stars and found that is a song made in 1954 and from a film titled lucky me here are the lyrics
Quote
I SPEAK TO THE STARS
From the film "Lucky Me" (1954)
(Sammy Fain / Paul Francis Webster)
Doris Day - 1954
Margaret Whiting - 1954
I speak to the stars
In a sky full of wonder
In a world full of magic
It may be they can hear
What my heart is thinkin' of
(We can hear your heart, we know what you're thinking of)
I speak to the stars
And I ask them to tell me
Am I making a blunder
Is this just an illusion
Or is it really love
(Is this really love)
Do I make too much
Of the promise in a stranger's eyes
What will happen when the magic dies
Am I riding for a fall
I speak to the stars
And I wait for an answer
Little stars won't you tell me
But they don't seem to hear
As they twinkle up above
So I turn from them
And speak to my heart
And my heart tells me
I'm in love
(You can trust your heart
for your heart does never lie
you're in love)
I'm in love
(You're in love)
I'm in love
(You're in love)
I'm in love
also in the lyrics notice it says you can trust your heart for your heart never lies
and mr a plasm says
Quote from: mr a plasm
-Though in my heart I believe that it is similar calculus that will save me.
i dont know this is just my input tell me what ya think[/quote]

Email received from Pat and dave:
Can you see the dead?
Hello everyone,Patrick and I have been tinkering around in the garage and we think we may have come up with a solution to the little Timehole problem (that we definitely did not cause.) Our tool kit will let you see and hear the living dead! As well as helping you to identify the location of a timehole right on your very door step! Although at the moment it's still a bit unstable – Keeps zapping Patrick and making his hair four times bigger then it already is! But we're working on it! We'll let you know as soon as you can download it! Here are the hardware requirements http://www.timehole.co.uk/Hardware/ Until then; Our house is filling up with butterflies!? Pat-My Hair looks dashing, thank you David. Big Love.David and Patrick
Plus they posted it on their forums:

Sadly I dont have any of these gadgets so looks like I will have to bow out of this bit...

bah humbug! Hi all!
Me neither although I can now take pics on my phone - I'm getting into the 21st century slowly.
I have got access to a PDA though so maybe I'll be able to do something with it later on?!

Oh and another update on the timehole forum:
We can't promise anything right now but perhaps in the near future we can arrange an event for those of you in the UK without the hardware to come and visit us, and we'll loan you the equipment to bust a Timehole! Lets us know here if you'd be interested in such an event.
If they were to do another event like the first i strongly reccommend people to go!

I only got the email from dave, so i feel a day or two behind... I also have none of the hardware, however i do have access to a GPS if needed. I wonder if it really HAS to be those specific items - I personally don't touch HP products.

so, did HP maybe fund them slightly for product placement? not an ad camp, just product placement? i hope that doesn't damage the gamers chances for gameplay... I reeeeaaaalllllyyyyy want to be able to play without shelling out way to much money for products i don't like

I'm going to try and see if the software will work on either my GPS or my phone when they release it, but I'm doubtful.
