 		It looks like above the worde "tha assailant left many partial" above the word many are the letters 'iler'.

this seems to be no help at all.......hey maybe we have to "READ BETWEEN THE LINES" Razz

May not be helpful, but it was fun nonetheless. There are no alleyways directly off of Broad St., the only thing even close is New St. (which runs parallel to Broad, and is off Wall St.). Also, New St. & Wall St. form the only "T" intersection in that area, and the diagrams in the police reports *suggest* a T intersection (just spec-ing)

You can't access New St. unless you work at the Exchange, so I couldn't get any real good shots. I had a notion to try to social engineer my way to a better vantage point, but cops with machine guns quickly erased that notion.

 		dammit, that was me.

one more thing...The current NYSE was built around 1901, so I suppose the street layout could've been different, but I saw a map from the 1860's and it looked pretty much the same.
