I cannot even see this topic on any of the forums when I access them directly but can see it mentioned on the overview screen.

How do we gain access to this thread and more importantly who is this "machine"??

You can find it by clicking first on the ARG: Deus City, but instead of clicking on DC: Deus City or DC: tCotSA, look down. There are a few threads under both of those.

And search for 0013 in the Interface.

In the defense of the PMs, I'm 95% sure this is just another gamejacking attempt (I believe this would be attempt #4 that I know of). The PMs of DC know the rules of the forum, and have followed them well so far.

Still might be amusing, though--Smile was genuinely entertaining as a sockpuppet (oh hey, Smile changed her poem!). However: SHAME! There were many UF-compliant ways you could have attracted our attention, anonymous gamejacker.

Explanation on how the PMs seem to work:

If it doesn't come from a confirmed character on the interface or something else within the Deus City family of websites, it should be considered OOG and/or a gamejack until one of the aforementioned channels confirms it. (And if somebody emails you from a deuscity/defensecorp address, check to make sure they're not spoofing it...that happened to me once).

And don't worry--despite knowing it was probably another griefer, I still messaged 0013. It's not like we have much more going on at the moment. Just consider it "user created content".
