Lifeline is the name of several lifestyle-type sections of a few different papers. it's probably the name of a few small free-standing "out and about town" type papers, too.

I ahvent; been able to finish my review, so this isn't really a new interpretation or anything, but it's a lead that fits all the music clues we have so far, and it's a tad better than beating our collective head against the desk.

Cool

But we're getting REALLY good at pounding our heads against hard/pseudo-hard objects.

Keep up the good work =)

at least we are trying

I don't see those who ran off to their own little website helping at all......

Spandau Ballet = Allan Budapest
or
Spandau Ballet = Allan at de pubs Smile

As if that's gonna help! lol

I say we just wait. Good things come to those that wait?

I signed up for a blog on wordpress....just speculating where the next thing will pop up. Have found the audios and docs of overwatch on many diff sites (squidoo, youtube, veoh) I also found it interesting that the "street view" for google has only been available since Mar 29th... so maybe not everything is "planned" yet....and are waiting for us to provide things to add to the story (i.e. good place to host a newsletter)

Do we even have an official spelling of Allen, Allan, Alan ? Why does tpetal mention Allentown a few times? And what beach is he staying at? I just have way too many questions.....

Biggest question: IS ANY of this relevent?

The second test recording of Julian wearing implanted mic

is at a coffeeshop....downtown Washington D.C. with a t.redding?

I can't understand what the girl asks him right before she tells him how much. Maybe my ears aren't working so well with all of this head/pounding/getting no where stuff.

Nearest I can get, looks like Street K. (reminds me of St. Kits)

Has anyone thought of calling the phone number on the documents of Claudia and John Greens meeting?

*edited(5 times LOL) URL .... hope it's right now. (I think this has been posted before)

New recording

From listening to recording 10, which is brand new, Julian is in a Seattle's Best coffee shop ordering coffee, I can tell from how high their prices are =P ..
GPS most closely points to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://home.flash.net/~ral1/starbucks/bigimages/DSCN5005.htm

The background voices are almost indiscernible. What you can make out doesn't seem to be spoken to Julian so it can be ignored I believe.
What is interesting is the tag line that has a new name in it besides Julian's. T.Redding as Coffeebean stated is at the coffee shop with him, but doesn't seem to speak to Julian, unless the employee taking his order is T. Redding. It's possible a package is being handed off. Which we wouldn't be able to hear hehe. It's also possible T.Redding is who Julian is keeping surveillance on.
The date of the audio is back dated so it's part of the story but doesn't relate to our current search or so I believe.[/spoiler]

yeah, i was wrong about 10 not being new. that's what I get for deciding to post in the wee hours and for posting about audio i didn;t open. Embarassed

In any event if we think this is tahlberg's local coffeeshop, we need to look for a borders.

The clerk asks him if he has a borders reward card, so w/e coffee shop he's at is in a borders. Not sure who they are affiliated with, but our local borders went from Starbucks to Seattle's Best early this year (like January). It also may be worth noting that he orders a "small," not a regualr or w/e, and teh clerk didn't balk. Starbucks still uses their absurd gormet coffee sizing system. Now, the clerk could easily not be an idiot and understood what he meant, but the folks at my local Starbucks, while friendly and well meaning, don't seem to know what "small" means. I'm about to re=gps all the coords we have, and I'll start with that one.

ETA: Thank you, google earth:

Borders Books Music & Cafe
1801 K Street NW
Washington, DC 20006
(202) 466-4999
Precisely the coordinated we are looking for. It is in something called the SEIU building. K Street, I've been told, is the primary location of lobbying groupsin DC. Doubt *that's* relevant, but it's info that we can just discard later.

According to a user review, the borders is on L Street, and the building has frontage on both roads. This url has information about the building asa whole: tinyurl.com/2jp2ax Probably not too important. The general location seems significant. It's moments away from every important everything in DC.

okay.....

so, i havent found anything.... [of course not]. my forehead has a nice imprint of the keyboard..... but, are we positive that spandau ballet is the band allen [or alan/ allan] wrote about? maybe tpetal has some other connection to the band. i cant find ANY allen portman [or any other variaton of the name] in any newspaper searches that have anything to do with that band.
i cant download quicktime to listen to that new audio clip... can anyone PLEASE give a transcript or something? is there any other way to listen to it?
p.s.- i say waiting sounds like the only option.

Catching up with Spandau Ballet

Hey, I was gone last week for the holiday, looks like a bunch has happened with the chat transcript and the Spandau hint. I think I'm up-to-date with everything, but don't jump too hard if I missed something and say something stupid, ok. Very Happy

I checked all the VH-1 lists I could find and "True" was never at #6 on anything I saw, so I think we can assume that reference was pointing to something else. Probably track #6 on one of their albums. Since petal mentioned "True" I looked on wikipedia and it shows track #6 as "Heaven is a Secret". That seems a bit obvious, but then again I about put my head through a wall when I saw how obvious the last one was.

I think the last paragraph of the most recent KMQ post is also a hint. Does anyone know of any full featured free web hosts? Someplace were a newspaper or newsletter with no money could set up?

mystic, you can stream them at http://www.blip.tv/users/view/davidvalley . I wasn't able to get the mto play from the main site, either. The last recording seems most significant, not for its content, but for its location, perhaps.

Communication

The lyrics to the song Communication......"waiting by the telephone"

And saying how "quiet it is" means tpetal is waiting for someone to show up. Where is Perfiddy1947?

I don't think we will ever find out what newspaper Allen worked for if we don't go ask some more questions. I don't really know how to work SKYPE.....so any one else that can do that?

David Waters

I've more or less finished reviewing the material. As I prepare to look at the stripped down info, one thing seems interesting: We've heard absolutely nothing about the second OSPREY agent, David Waters. He was OIS-OPS while Julian was Army. I didn't run their ranks, someone familiar with the military might know them by rote: Waters - GS-11 )OIS), Thalberg O-4 (army).

I'm not sure--am i ever Wink--that this means anything directly, but we may get some story in for from this fact.

more later.

jz

ps, this thread is a serious pain to crawl through. I have (i think) all of the IG information teased out of it, but I'd hate to think anyone else would have to do it again. Is there anyway to start a reference thread as was done for 01-18-08? I'm too new here to know the forum particulars, and I don't want to step on any toes.

Heaven is a secret

Since he was looking for "free web" hosting services, I Googled "free web hosting services" and a few popped up...and thanks to chinchin for tossing out Heaven is a Secret.....

Took a few minutes but found this:

Phone number on page

614-448-5962

Thats the number they left as a contact for the FreeWebs page. Its based out of Ohio. Unfortunately I am having phone issues right now (damn T-Mobile) so if someone wants to call and find out if its legit or not.
